This was before the new Ork codex or the new rules were released.
As everyone probably knows, Necrons are very hard to beat, especially for a close combat army. However, it was a very entertaining match, with some extreme twists.
Warboss with mega-armour, CB, BB, bosspole, 7 mega armoured nobz.
Painboss with 'eavy armour, dok's tools, 2 grot orderliez, 'urty syringe, slugga, 7 painguards.
9 Stormboyz, slugga/choppaz, frags.
10 'ard boyz, Nob with PK, trukk with red paint job.
30 grotz, with runtherd (i forgot real name.. is it right? lawl)
30 slugga/choppa boyz, nob with 'eavy armour and PK.
30 slugga/choppa boyz, nob with 'eavy armour and PK.
3 buggies, armour plates, TL rokkits
3 wartrakks, armour plates, TL rokkits.
Battlewagon, Zzap gun, armour plates, 5 bolt on big shootas, mek and 10 burna boyz on board.

Necron Lord, with ressurection orb and staff of light??

huge building to the right (my right) and trees and rubble scattered around.
The mission was simple annhiliate.
Turn one, Orks
The warboss and his retinue lumbered foward, i rolled 5', not a bad start. Pain boss followed the warboss.
The huge blocks of troops marched foward, The buggies all sweeping to my right, behind the building. The 'ard boyz in the trukk followed suit.
Stormboyz also behind building.
The kans moved behind the boyz. The battlewagon drove foward, boldly, not behind any cover.
Shooting. Kannons- 3 krak shots, 2 hits, 2 wounds, 2 failed saves! not bad =D
Battlewagon brought down 2 destroyers.
Turn one, Necrons
As i expected, almost no movement. Monolith slowly glided forward. Nearly whole army shot, and i lost 20 grotz, 10 boyz and lost 2 pain guards.
Turn two Orks
Warboss and retinue lumbered forward, this time 6', and all my infantry followed, with kans. Stormboyz jump over building and engage two warrior squads. 'ard boyz zoom out of building, and engage the nearby pariahs. The wagon lumbers foward, with the buggies.
My shooting was impressive, (for orks) the combined total casualties caused was: 8 warriors, 1 immortal, and one more destroyer.
In assault, with a massive WAAAGH! the stormboyz attacked first, chopping down 7 warriors ( who'll probs all WB and only losing 2.
The 'ard boyz also WAAAGH!, causing 3 pariah casualties. the pariahs cut down 4.
Turn two Necrons
Flayed ones run up to engage the 'ard boyz, who are fightin pariahs alredy.Night bringer floats forward.
Those who can shoot shoot, and kill 10 more grotz, who do not flee! and 9 boyz, and a buggie.
4 warriors WBB, and 5 stormboyz are cut down, but not before chopping 3 warriors. the 2 remaining stormboyz run, and the slowass warriors cannot catch them.
the 'ard boyz are wiped out, but not before killing 3 pariahs.
Turn three, Orks
All infantry run up, using the battlewagon and trukk as cover.
Stormboyz regroup, and heroically charge back into the warrior squads which just beat them.
I kill 5 warriors, and one heavy destroyer in shooting. The stormboyz amazingly kill 4 warriors, and then cut down.
Turn four, necrons.
Nightbringer engages my warboss and his retinue.
Flayed ones and pariahs charge my main battle line. His necron lord, also charges in.
His warriors also lumber forward. The monolith floats to a better position.
He kills 4 buggies, and destroys the battlewagon.
In assault, Nightbringer kills a Nob, pariahs kill 6 boyz, flayed ones 4 boyz, Lord 2 boyz.
In return, i wound the nightbringer twice (PK's!) and wipe the pariahs, and kill 2 flayed ones, and wounded the lord down to one wound... thats what u get for assaulting orks!
Turn five, orks.
All engaged, except kans, who are still stuck behind the wrecks.
The big gunz kill 2 warriors. The nightbringer kills 2 nobz, and in turn is left on one wound. The flayed ones and lord wipe one boyz mob. The flayed ones are in turned killed.
Turn five, Necrons.
The lord Teleports, to try to kill my big gunz crew. He assaults.
The nightbringer kills one more nob, but is finally killed. He explodes, wounding my whole bodyguard, including warboss.
The whole necron firing line shoots, wiping the grotz, and wiping one more mob of boyz.
The necron lord attacks the 6 grotz big gunz crew, killing 3, and THEN GETS KILLED BY THE 3 REMAINING GROTZ!
Turn 6, orks
my infantry charge foward, towards the 30 or so necron warriors/immortals. theyre out of range. My kans fire rokkits. all miss x(
my kannons also miss, but i dun care. the crew deserves a reward.
Turn 6, necrons.
Doesnt move, just shoots. wipes my final boys mob.
It was a slight victory for necrons, i had the warboss, 3 nobz, painboss, painguard, 3 kans and the big gunz.
he had one destroyer, one heavy destroyer, monolith, around 20 ish warriors (****en WB and 8 immortals.
HOWEVER. I FOUND OUT THAT HE USED 250 POINTS OVER, AND I WON BY DEFAULT!!
cheers to my awesome grotz manning the big gunz, for killing the lord and the reliable shooting (by ork standards)
the warboss and retinue did well, killing everything (including nightbringer) who stood in their way.
the kans were useless. causing 0 casualties...

By the looks of it, the necrons weren't playing very smart. He should have used a deciver instead of a nightbringer, to keep your guys out of CC.
And as I've always said, if you don't notice till after the game that he was using to many points, your bad :-P

Actually Nightbringer is better against orks than Deceiver as far as staying our of combat. And yeah being under points is never a good time.
Also lord can't teleport and charge (teleport wargear is called Veil of Darkness btw)
Looks like ya need to both look through his codex a bit good report though.
the night bringer shouild never loseoh and did he uses his template atk nor normal atk
err i think he used his normal attack. but wen he died, he exploded?! haha
Yeah C'tan blow up when you kill them. It's rather fun if they're in CC when it happens, usually takes the rest of the enemy unit with it.
Also be glad he used the normal attack, Nightbringer has a Large-blast S6 ignores armor attack it can use in CC, much more devastating to something like orks than 5 S10 attacks that ignore all saves.
Try running the same game again with the new 'dex and 5th ed rules, and let me know if your Necron rival lasts to turn 4.

A quite interesting match. Grots killing necron lord, nightbringer doesnt use his special powers, necron army with 250 points to much and necron lord charge after teleporting. Funny!
