Turn 1: Necrons:
Destroyers take up position in a building to my left on his side, and single destroyer on a hill to the far right. Nightbringer moves past Scorpions in cover (on left/centre of board) towards Dark Reaper squad 1. Monolith and Warriors (in middle of table on his side) move forward. Lord follows and runs towards Farseer Retinue (Behind/left of Guardians).
Lord runs 5". Destroyers fire on Reaper Squad 1 (no casualties). Single destroyer fires on Wave Serpent (no damage). Monolith fires prism charge (big killy nasty gun on top) at scorpions (3 dead). No further damage.
Guardians (centre of my side) move forward towards warriors and monolith, Farseer retinue moves towards Lord, Wraithlord (content to move alone) and D.A's move out towards warriors from behind building to right/centre of board. Scorpions move out of cover within assault range of warrior squad 1. Wave Serpent moves 12" to other side of building (right side armour to single destroyer).
Guardians fire on Warrior Squad 2, (2 down), Wraithlord fires on Warrior Squad 2, (1 down). Farseer casts mind War on Lord (No damage). Reaper squad 1 fires on Warrior squad 1, (5 down). Reaper Squad 2 fires on Warrior Squad 2, (6 down). Wave Serpent fires on Warriors 2. (2 down)
Scorpions assault warrior squad 1, (3 down, 2 scorpions dead).
Turn 2 : Necrons:
Nightbringer moves towards Reaper 1, Warriors 2 and Monolith moves toward guardians.
Lord moves within assault range of Scorpions.
Warriors fire on Wraithlord (Reduced to 1 wound). Monolith fires on guardians (4 dead + Warlock). Destroyers fire on Reapers 1 (no damage), single destroyer fires on W/Serpent (no damage).
(Lord does not assault scorpions) Scorpions down 4 warriors, loses 1 scorpion
Farseer(+W) moves towards nightbringer, Guardians, Wraithlord, and D.A.'s advance on Warriors 2. Wave Serpent moves 12" behind Warriors 1.
Farseer casts Mind War on Nightbringer, causing 4 wounds. Reapers 1 takes last wound from Nighbringer. Reapers 2 kills 4 Warriors from Warriors 2. Wraithlord + D.A's fire on Warriors 2 (no damage).
Wraithlord and D.A.'s assault Warriors 2. (kill 8 warriors, 3 D.A.'s dead.). Scorpions down 4 Warriors, lose 1 scorpion.
Turn 3 : Necrons
Monolith recalls Warriors 1, reemerge from monolith. Lord moves toward Farseer.
Destroyers fire on Reapers 1. (no damage) Monolith fires on Wave Serpent (no damage), Guardians (3 dead) Farseer (+W) (1 warlock dead) Scorpions (remainder dead).
Rest of Warriors 2 is destroyed by Wraithlord and D.A's.
Farseer moves within assault range of Lord, Guardians move within assault range of Warriors 1. Wave Serpent Moves 12" in front of monolith. Wraithlord turns to be within assault range of monolith. D.A's move toward Lord.
Farseer casts Mind War on Lord (Fail test), Reapers 1 fires on Destoyers (all 3 destroyed). Reapers 2 fires on Single destroyer (destroyed) Guardians fire on warriors 1 (kills 1).
Wraithlord assaults monolith (1 glancing hit Weapon destroyed (1 shot off multiple weapon), Farseer assaults Lord (Lord goes down), Farseer consolidates towards Monolith. Guardians assault warriors 1, (no casualties to warriors, remaining guardians but 1 dead).
Turn 4 : Necrons
(lord recovers with full wounds)
Lord moves towards D.A's. Monolith moves away from Wraithlord.
monolith fires on Farseer (kills other warlock), Wraithlord (removes last wound) Wave Serpent (no damage), D.A's (1 casualty).
Lord assaults D.A.'s, (Taken down by Exarch). Warriors 1 kills last guardian, taking no damage themselves)
Farseer moves towards Monolith, Wave Serpent moves 12" away from battle.
Reapers 1 and 2 fire on Warriors 1, causing casualties and making necrons Phase Out.
I'm guessing it was a pretty friendly game judging by the lists. He really didn't seem to play well at all and you had some really lucky shooting. 4 Wounds on a C'Tan with Mindwar?
I'am curious why when you took casualties on your Guardians you knocked off the Warlock, did he inflict 11 wounds? Seems unlikely if you spaced out.

I was fairly lucky with the Mind War, he wasn't happy when he was killed in a single turn.
With the guardians, I had failed the Conceal roll for that turn, so wouldn't have a save. i took the wounds on the warlock so I would have a save. un fortunately, failed them all. (Sad)
It was a fairly friendly game, I had met the player last week when he was playing against a combined force of Guard and Marines. When the Guard/Marine players said that they'd never been able to beat him, I told them I might be able to and challenged him for the next week (this game was on Friday). So there was a bit of true competition in it.
Oh, as an added note to the report:
You may notice that the banshees never get out of the serpent. I thought it would be fun half way through the game if I was able to win without using my biggest combat advantage.

Its great to see another eldar victory, looks like you will be that guard/marine player's inspiration for a while.
Just two things I noticed in your list, I am not sure about this as I don't have a codex with me, but I don't think that you can take only two Warlocks with your Farseer in a Council. I believe that you must take a minimum of three. Also you list each warlock as having taken enhance, I don't that enhance can stack. I think in the listing that it only allows you to have it affect the squad once.
Other than that it was a good battle report, and I look forward to reading more of your reports.

Yeah, that was my mistake.
there were 3, the other one had destructor.
I know that Enhance isnt cumulative, but its a rare game that all my warlocks survive into combat. so i took two with enhance in case one of them was killed.
I noticed you said you failed a conceal roll for the turn. Warlock powers require no rolling unless the warlock is dead the squad has the cover save. While you didn't use your banshees for melee goodness the reapers with those lovely ap3 guns chewed up enough necrons to make up the difference. I think you got very lucky with the nightbringer going down so easy, he could have turned the game around quickly. In any case good work and sounded like a good game.
so the nightbringer missed all 5 saves? The 4 from mind war and 1 from the reapers?
He had a very poor list, and either you were vague or he just forgot things / played things badly, but all in all congrats on the win, as it seems this was just a fun game.

I was being fairly vague. I was writing the report a few days later from memory.
And yes, he did fail all his saves. I wish I could put my victory down to my awesome superiority (joke) but mainly it was just down to bad luck on his part.
I will say that my reapers were the main reason I won.
i always ruin necrons, with all those CC units u had he didnt stand a chance
You can't field a squad of 1 destroyer, maybe talk to your buddy about that.
Nothing kills 'crons like bad luck. Big expensive units do not deal well with poor save-rolling.
Your list was well built for cron-kiling, Reapers are a nasty thing for a Necron player to deal with.
Also send your friend over to the Tomb! Maybe we could help him out with list building (not so much on rolling better though).
