Rep Power: 6 ![]() | My thoughts on myself exactly. i usually like to play as well as possible and for laughs. winning is just the cherry on top, but i love winning, but not winning as my single and only goal. Same here.

Ofcaurse been competitive is healthy and wanton at times. But what i mean is not overlooking the fan for the shake of obsessive victory.

well i have to agree with Prience i dont like multi listing i like to build 1 list play test it tweak it and play test it again it is what i did with my fantacy orcs and goblins witch is a bottem tear army and because i made a strong list that i know back wards and forwards against any other army i can come out ontop so now i am doing the same in 40k build play tweak play till it is well rounded and ready for anything.

It's fine if you think single listing is boring, that's an opinion and everyone is welcome to them. I haven't gotten bored because even if my army is the same, the terrain, other army, mission and deployment combo are always different. Keeps it fresh for my tastes. The thing I will never, ever agree on is multi-listing makes someone a good player. I do play only for tournaments, I take every casual game as buildup and every game teaches me something about my one list, even the super fast blowouts. Now, you're learning too but you're learning casual lessons for a casual player. 40k is not applicable to the rest of life, I dislike when people do this. We both have our reasons for playing, what I've been saying the whole time is multi-listing fosters bad play habits. This is not any less true. Your reasons to play are your own and I'm fine with that, if only people like me played I'd have one opponent. The issue I had is, if someone is a 40k player and wants to get better, become more competitive (competitive = tournament play when I say it just fyi) multi-listing is taking them down the wrong road. Now if you're just playing friendly games, as you do, you may do whatever you like. I choose to single list and I can beat people who single list, multi-list, custom list, all the same to me. My word of caution is out to the guy who might be trolling this thread and wants to become a stronger player overall. If this is just a game you play with your friends or at the local GW shop, do what makes you happy. I still have a dim view of it but I'm not going to demand anyone quit the game or anything. However, my way is the way to take that next step if you like to put your army and skills to the big tests available to our hobby. I will repeat, just so were crystal clear, that it only has bearing if you want to become a tournament competitive player. Otherwise, pretend all I typed was a big smiley face and have fun with your army for everyones sake.

Strong,competitive,win....Such strong words.Indeed i can see your points but even in a tournament you can have fun.Always a human is associated with some kind of activity for whatever reasons he may choose to do so.But logic dictates;Balance in all things. I dont say go for:Ah well were in a tourney so what?Ill tailor a random list and go.Neither h i i want to create a list that will crush and burn everything in my path...This are extremes for me.If i can tailor a list to win ill do so,i will think long and hard of my actions on the field of battle...But you know what? After the battle is what it counts.Having swore and turned red,my pressure been 20 because i rolled four 1s in my it gets hot plasma cannon devastator squad(example)isnt going to do me any good. Both scocialy and as person and player. After all 40k is a game not a reality.By winning and growling about it you only achieve a small satisfaction none proves anything. That again may not be true for some but still... P.S. I can see this going further and further i respect your opinions as much as i believe you respect mine(at least i think so).All i have to say is Chill out a bit dudes ![]() EDIT See this will continue after all this not the apropriete thread,it would be better if we start pming one another.

That's cool, play your way. My advice wasn't aimed at you because that's not how you play, you just like to have fun win or lose it seems. I'm totally fine with that, as I said. As for tournaments, why wouldn't you bring a crushing list? It does seem odd to enter a tournament and not have the goal of winning and winning starts with a strong army. I can't wrap my head around what you're saying in that particular instance, I don't have it in me. :] Please don't confuse all my rantings for rage posting either. I love to debate and am very opinionated but I don't get mad or hateful if things don't go my way. Just don't want it coming across like I'm breaking lamps and crap while I'm posting. :]
