2000pt Competitive Blood Angels vs Space Wolves

My brother wants revenge against my Space Wolves. So far he hasn't been able to beat them in quite some time, having lost using Tyranids and Blood Angels (he did manage 1 draw with Blood Angels). This time, he will be using my competitive Blood Angel all-infantry army. Moreover, he will be using my newly acquired Death Company with Lemartes.

By the ways, I'm 10W-1L-1D with my foot BA army, and that is without the service of Death Company. Basically he is taking my 1500 list, removing the flamer assault marines, and adding 1 scout squad (for objectives and fire-support), Mephiston, DC and Lemartes.

We will probably be playing this Friday.

I love your battle reports and equally your nid lists, if the space pups can preform as well as they have before then imo let the puppies go wolf on them .

This could be close... my first thought was that wolves would anhilate, but looking at it the BA are going to be very hard to stop, IF they can kill those rhinos quickly enough. For me, 8 missles from two squads as all your long range fire, just isnt enough. If you can shut those down, and deal with mephiston, i think its game over for the BA.

The BA will get their asses floored. The BA list relies too much on the death company and they are easily dealt with, with additional podding bates. Especially if the sw get first turn. I want Jy2 to face a stronger BA list.
    thanks

Superior stamina may win battles, but the ability to quickly recover wins wars.

Actually, there may be a twist to this game....and the twist is that I may be playing BA come Friday. I really want to try out my chaplain-based DC army. My brother's played enough against my SW to know my tactics with them. I honestly feel that SW's are more balanced, albeit slower. However, with BA, there is basically 4 deathstar units. Any one of them hits and it's going to hurt...a lot.

    Pre-game analysis to come.

And your going to correct your brother when he does something wrong? We already know your pre game analysis:
I wish i had chosen space wolves,
I wish i had chosen space wolves,
I wish i had chosen space wolves.

    thanks

    Pre-game Analysis:

    SPACE WOLVES
They have some fire power and 1 scary vindicator. They can assault with almost 3 power weapons in each unit (power weapon, wolf guard power fist and either RP force weapon or Ragnar's frost axe) and the standard to re-roll all 1's. They outnumber the blood angels, both in manpower and vehicles. And they've got Tempest's Wrath, which I estimate will probably claim the lives of about 25% of the blood angels if not stopped by Mephiston's psychic hood.

The key to SW victory, though, is that THEY MUST NOT GIVE BLOOD ANGELS THE FURIOUS CHARGE!!! Too many charges by BA, and SW will lose. Period.

Objectives-based missions favor BA with its better mobility and ability to combat squad (not that they will with only 2 assault marine squads). Annihilation also favor BA with fewer KP's and more durable units. However, the Space Wolves care not for they are going for the table wipe.

    BLOOD ANGELS
On the opposite end of the balance spectrum are the Blood Angels. Basically this army consist of 4 feel no pain, furiously charging deathstar units. With the exception of Mephiston, each unit has 3 power weapons (pfist, sanguinary priest and chaplain), furious charge, feel no pain and re-rolls on the hits (and wounds as well for Death Company). Any of them hits and it's lights out. I don't think much can stand up to them...not even assault terminators, seer councils nor even nobs if charged by 2 of those squads.

The key for them is cracking those transports for the charge. If BA can crack them for the charge, they'll win. If not, they probably won't.

This is going to be interesting but I do think SW has the advantage. There is a very small margin of error for the Blood Angels.

If played properly the SW should smash the BA into the ground.
