138? Depends if you count the Heavy Weapons as 1 model or 2 men lol. I prefer the latter. 2 men on one base is still 2 men to me!

So 1 in 4 Guardsmen survived. Thats pretty good going lol. I've sure High Command would be ok with 75% Casualties as long as you brought home a Victory. Which you did!

How have your found Infantry lists in this Edition? I haven't done an Infantry list this edition and was just going to take it for fun. You seem to be doing fairly well with them. I suppose everyone is going anti-tank heavy so when someone has no tanks....... It kinda puts half their wargear to little use.

155 if we count HWT as 2 guardsmen

Infantry lists are pretty good expecially in an overly mech environment. They suffer somewhat from multiple objectives mission, where you don't have to fall for the "sit and shoot" mode, because it will make you lose. The leapfrog tactic is expecially good: a part of the unit stands and shoot, the other one moves. The next turn, the roles are swapped (or anyway adjusted as needed). Your opponent will have an hard time picking targets between 70 firing guardsmen and another 70 which are going to charge him.

You're going to suffer against CC-horde lists tho. I still have to achieve a win against tyranids!

Aye, that was the one thing I was worried about. Mobility. I've always had mobility as pretty much every list I've had since 2nd Ed has had some form of Chimera mounted troops in. Should be fun though. Surprised you didn't go with Sentinels actually. They'd be useful to come on with Al Rahems Platoon. At 1500 I was gearing towards taking 9 of the little critters.

because they'll be targeted by all the antitank the enemy has. That's the same fate of the heavy weapons squad anyway, so in the following list upgrade i've completely removed them. ONLY GUARD BLOBS FOR YOU TO SHOOT AT!

PS: i've played another match tonight, vs a full mechanized GK player:
he was something like 3x psyfledread, 4 rhinos with plasmacolytes (6 men), 3 rhinos with purifiers.

I was leading turn 4 for 10 killpoints to 2 he conceded.

but, but......but I love Sentinels lol. Yeah, true they'd be torn to shreds by enemy heavy weapons fire but thats what outflank is for. Some mobile Dakka I figured would be cool as well and they can always run around and contest objectives...

Nice to know about the win against GK. They seemed a bit scary. I've been out of 40k for a year and missed a lot.

well they can work at outflanking, but i still think that they are easy kill points. You'd aim to be always in combat, to prevent being shooted. otherwise, meh.
