Haha, two quick battle reports... one awesome, one tragic...
500 pt game against my friend's "Imperial Falcons" (his new chapter, so far vanilla traits). 2 SM squads of 10, 1 captain, 1 rhino, and 1 whirlwind with assault cannon and storm bolters.
Me, standard 500 pt necron HQ, 2 troops and res orb.
In short, he charged his squad and captain at me with the rhino, but was a bit too far to assault. We had a shooting war (mostly one shot non-rapid fire, since I was avoiding getting within 12" of him so that he can assault) and I killed his 7 marines to my 3 Necrons.
Finally, 3 remaining units from one squad and a full squad of 10 assaulted my 9 warriors in a forest, so I got to attack first. My lord also joined in and killed off his captain and one squad.
Meanwhile, the skimmer fired all the weapons on my warrior troop, killing *1*... I glanced it and destroyed it *4* times with 20 rapid fire shots. The rhino got immobilized twice thus destroyed by another 20 rapid fire shots.
In the last turn (turn 5), all the warriors were piled in attacking the 10 SM's left... He wiped out one squad of warriors, but I caused more wounds at the end, and he failed his morale, and I actually swept him! Won with 9 warriors and the Lord (unwounded) left... yay!
now, 1000 pt game against 500 pts of Dark Angles and 500 pts of Daemonhunters...
- 1 tactical squad of 5, 1 plasma cannon, 1 plasma pistol, bolters, and 1 vet sgt with bolt pistal and power weapon
- 1 squad with 4 snipers, one vet sgt with bolt pistol and power weapon, and one bolter guy
- 1 chaplain
- 1 assault squad with jetpacks, where 2 had plasma pistols.
- 3 termies with power weapon and storm bolter, 1 brother captain
- 2 squads of 5 grey knights with nemesis and bolter.
- 1 justicar
- 4 destroyers
- 3 wraiths
- 2 x 13 warriors
- lord with phase shifter, destroyer body, res orb, and warscythe
this was a table quarters game, so my destroyers and wraiths went one direction, and the two squads of warriors went the other, though still close to the center.
The warriors were in a shooting war with the 1 squad of grey knights and the plasma cannon squad/sniper squad. The wraiths tried to assault the termies, killing none with 12 attacks. The lord killed one with his warscythe, and the destroyers killed one with 12 shots earlier before CC.
Then I realized my mistake of having the wraiths attack termies... the justicar (whose grey knights got shot to smitheries by my warriors) and the chaplain, as well as the brother captain termie attacked me... 2 wraiths down, the last one fled and got shot to death, no WBB. My lord suffered 1 wound from the 6 chaplain power attacks (THANK GOD FOR PHASE SHIFTER! The justicar missed, but the brother captain got lucky and took out the last two wounds. Before it died, it killed the justicar. I failed my WBB and there goes 210 pts.
The warriors shot the chaplain to death, avenging the Lord! and the destroyers killed 1/2 of the assault troops before being assaulted (I need to learn how to gauge 12" of movement and 6" of assault!!! ) Let's just say the destroyers and the assault squad just stayed tied the rest of the game... that was my mistake...
Finally, 1 grey knight and 1 justicar assaulted my one squd of warriors... after 2 assault turns, my *9* warriors got assaulted... they killed *1* of my warriors... I rolled *11* on my morale check, rolled *1* to disengage, and the ENTIRE TROOP got sweeping advanced!!! I'm so annoyed right now. Promptly, the next turn I got phased out as I lost 9 units in one assault... sigh...
I *really* hate sweeping advance now... All necron brothers... next time anyone calls us cheesy for having WBB and 3+ saves... just tell them that Init 2 REALLY sucks when it comes to sweeping advance... and it all balances. out... but it still sucks to have 2 Grey Knights kill 9 warriors due to it... grr...
Anyway, that's my battle report... comments and suggestions welcome... lessons I learned:
- keep destroyers OUT OF CC... and beware fo 12" jetpacks!
- wraiths vs SM = good, wraiths vs termies = bad...
- 1 lord fighting 2 HQs... = bad
- sweeping advance... sigh... nothing I can do about that... don't roll 11&12's, and don't roll 1's for disengage...

the daemonhunter list was a lil broken. justicar can't go off on his own, he is not an independant character. the list should be:
4 grey knights & 1 justicar
4 grey knights & 1 justicar
having 10 grey knights and 1 justy is illegal....
secondly, i am assuming that your lord has some invul save, cuz otherwise, brother captain's and justy's assaults should be str 6 power weapons (no armor saves, but still invul saves), and doesn't power weapons make wbb useless along with ap3 or lower weapons? (never fought necrons yet, so that hasn't been fully clarified). further more, grey knights carry storm bolters as well
other than that, good job. if it makes u feel better, the wraiths might've worked better against normal termies, but since gk termies are a lil more buffed up (power weapons go with initiative, nemmy force weapons, invul save) but with some weaknesses (they lose some sm heavy weapons, like assault cannos and rockets, still only 1 friggin wound).

Necrons will not get WBB rolls against power weapons or weapons that are double their toughness (ie instakills). Weapons that pierce their armor (ap 3 or lower) are still allowed WBB rolls as long as the above does not apply (insta kill).
My Lord had the Phase Shifter, 4+ Inv save... else he would be toast even faster
