This the results of the surprisingly short game in which bets were placed. It seriously only took 5 turns, each about 10 minuteslong unlike other 1000 point games I have seen.
Deployment: My freind's units are set up behing cover, exept her Scouts which inflitrate into a wooded area on a ledge overlooking the enemy deployment zone. The other player sets up his stuff in a big mass.
Turn 1: My freind's scouts deal huge the Master of Sancity out right. 12 Hits, 8 wounds, 2 failed saves from the sniper rifles alone, a Krak missile finishs it. He had not put the MoS with the Assult Marines becuase he was going to send them right at my freinds army, sending only 1 guy to finish the scouts off in CC (becuase if he had gone first he could have). Now all of the assault marines go at my freinds scouts, still over 12'' away. The rest of his stuff move towards the cover the rest of my freinds force is behind, tanks at full speed.
Turn 2: My freind holds ground with all units. The scouts kill 5 of the Assult marines with combinde sniper rifle, heavy bolter and missile launcher fire. The tanks keep up their pase. The guy knows she will never remove the units from cover so he will have to go around it. Now the assault marines charge the scouts, sqaud 1 is dead.
Turn 3: With the tanks only 30'' the bike sqaudrons move out. The attack bike sqaud destorys the Turrut TL Lascannon on 1 Pred with their multi-melta and crew shaken with the mass heavy bolter and bolter fire. The normal bikes sqaud attacks the side armor and destroys the Pred with their Attack Bikes Multi-Melta and Plasmagun, however 1 bike is destoryed in the explosion. The Vindicator takes out the Attack Bike Sqauds MultiMetla bike. Assult Marines Finish off the Scouts.
Turn 4: The drednot moves into a good spot. Before the Crew gets unshaken the remaining bike with Multi-Melta takes tries to take out the 2nd Pred but fails but the miss. The Dreadnot takes out the Vindicator with its combind TL Lascannons and Missile Launcher on its side Armor. Assault Sqauds move towards my freinds units. The Predator takes out 2 an attack bike and a normal bike with its Heavy Bolters. The marine sqauds, which the guy forgot about (gulp!) use their heavy bolters to shoot at the bike sqaud, killing 2.
Turn 5: The techmarine and his servators move into a do or die postion at the map edge, they will get 1 round of shooting before the assult marines can charge them. The bikes all start towards the assult marines. The Dreadnot finishes off the last Preditor, the bikes kill the remaining assult marines with whatever they were shooting with, I think the last Multi-Melta dealt the last blow.
My freind won becasue she chose board side, deployed well and held back her units until the key time to use each of them. The other guy lost becasue he didnt stick to his origonal plan of charging the main army with assualt marines and was forced out of his hold the tanks back stratigy. I won $20.
lol I am glad she won, but like I said had the other player been smart he would have won by alot.
Also how did she shoot the chaplain if all his stuff was piled together?
Well tell she did a good job and good luck in the future.
A very nice report indeed hope to see many more from ya!
Qui est Mortis? Lol, the rep... neggatized for something... lol that nobody payed attention too... Lol Goodbye all, BTW This is permanent goodbye so save some bandwidth mods delete this account :D  :D  :D
A nice win...and you bet for her, right?
I really like this simply because it's another fine example that women can play 40k just as well, and do, as men...
I don't think there's a single female player in my area and that's really depressing.
Kudos to her for playing, and for winning while she's at it. ^_^
It's good to see a woman who likes to play WH40K, or any game that has a predominantly male following. The only two games that I've seen women play are D&D and MTG. I play the former, but can't afford the latter. Besides, WH40K and BFG eat up enough of my hard-earned cash. And I'm glad that it wasn't a "war of the sexes" kind of game. Just a game between a group of friends that was all in good fun. And a little cash on the side can spice things up a bit . Well, I say congratulations to her on a well-played game.
Nice report, I love seeing not so strong but fluffy armies beat the living crap out of min\max, playing tournement style armies. I thibk you freind hadeled herself very well, and made little mistakes (or at least that's how the report detailes it), but winning this game was mostly about the other player making all these mistakes...
Also, I am tottaly against gambling, and I think gambling money (and I'm not talking about 50 cents or somthing insignificent like that) takes alot of fun out of the game, as the players are more interested by winning than by having fun. Although, if the bet is not made between the players, I think it's alright...
