    Bunker Assault

Terminator Champion Sidebone, Chosen of Nurgle, scratched his sores contentedly. Having corrupted his squad of terminators and lead them to the Eye of Terror he had joined a chaos war band. The only two dots of penicillin in the pus were the fact that the war band consisted of decadent Slaanesh worshippers - not necessarily a bad thing, at least the rations were palatable - and the band's leader. The band's leader was the Honourable Jeremy Krenstein, Lieutenant of Chaos and beloved of Slaanesh. Krenstein had held the rank of Lieutenant since the Horus Heresy ten thousand years ago, and as far as Sidebone could see was unlikely to rise in rank for the next ten thousand.

The war band had been assigned to defend a vital bunker in the Chaos defence line against the marauding Tyranids. Krenstein had immediately occupied the bunker with his hand picked squad of hairdressers, make up artists and sycophants. He had then ordered his heavy support havoc squads to the immediate rear and the remaining squads far to the rear in the support lines. Sidebone had questioned this disposition but by then Krenstein was choosing curtains for the bunker and had no time to listen.

The Tyranid swarm were not long in coming and the Slaaneshi lascanon and missile squad were the first to arrive in support of the bunker, and caused casualties among Tyranid forward units. However the tide of ‘nid warriors and ‘gants washed up on the Havocs and after a brutal resistance they were lost.

The Hive Tyrant and a Carnifex arrived at the Bunker and ripped it to pieces, revealing Krenstein blinking his artfully made up eyes in the daylight. The remaining Havoc squad now arrived with the other three marine squads. The three marine squads were swiftly over-run by the ‘nids and the Havocs were saved by the final arrival of Sidebone and his terminators.

Sidebone decided that further resistance was futile given that the bunker was destroyed and Krenstein’s incapacitated body was being sneaked from the field. After a further exchange of casualties he lead the rout from the field.
