I lost but i must say i had fun... It was me and my lord, and two favoured squads of thousand sons, the lord and champs had bolt of change, the lord had a dark blade, and the champs had power weapons and bolt pistols. I went up against a veteran necron player who used a lord with a resurrection orb, phylactery, and a warscythe.

I managed to kill of four of his warriors but with my lack of rhinos the destroyers picked me off one by one. I have definitely reworked my army list from this battle because there was a "supervisor" during this game who also has a Thousand Sons army. He told me to add some rhinos, mastercraft weapons, and use Eye of Tzeentch on all characters.

I can see how this will all work together now, because there were plenty of times i could have used a re-roll to hit or something during the game.

It's not Raymond Luxury Yacht, It's pronounced throat wobbler mangrove.

Well, there is always next time. I just bought a thousand sons squad and Ahrim off of E-bay. I'm getting ready for a little demon action myself....

Its easy to beat necrons. Get into cc with everything except the lord, unless you have some relly good cc charracter, like your lord. Kill the warriors.

The thing is a TS army is not a cc army...
Sure you can get a prince tooled up, but TS is still about blasting magic.

To kill the bots just get ur hands on tzeentch terminators or chosen w/ powerswords. Bots and power weapons don't go well together...

Necron players against Thousand Sons should whip out the 'Lith and Heavy Destroyers, and start auto-killing 'em a squad at a time. You need to watch out for that... space out your troops more.

In that size battle, the opponent would get phased out incredibly soon if fielding a monolith. As said before, take chosen termies, and even some flamers/ screamers of tzeentch (invunrable saves will help). Also a obliterator or two would be nice in larger battles.
