Remove warp field from hive tyrant and add Extended carpace less expensive / same effect

Thats a pretty standard army you have there. I think you are going to have trouble against him, but its hard to predict who will win.... If I had to, I would go with the tyranids, but as I said, it will be damn close.
It will be interesting to see how the whirlwind does as I might be getting one soon..
Hey take a nid hunter squad, i think they are exclusive to the ultramarines. Also take out the assault team, nids are the last army you want to assault. You need alot more tac marines. Bolters simply slaughter any troops you come across.
You know what they say, if you dont like the weather in houston...go back to where you came from
Ditch the assault squad and the scouts. Last thing you want to do is assault Tyranids.
Replace the heavy flamer in the terminator squad with the TWO assault cannons that the codex allows you to have.
Replace the assault squad and scouts with more tactical marines with plain old bolters or better yet, heavy weapons...maybe a few heavy bolters if you have the points.
You'll want to make him charge you, use your terminators and Dreadnought together in a group and the three assault cannons that I recommended above will really tear apart anything that he sends their way. You may want to place the termies and Dreadnought in the middle of your side of the table and wait for him to break cover and come and get you....then mow him down with the assault cannons. Use your Whirlwind by advancing it up the flank, followed closely by the Predator, if you cause enough havoc with your Whirlwind, he'll send his Tyrant, Carnifex or genestealers to destroy it. When he does, use the predator to turn whatever he sends into dog food. With good luck, he'll use his Carnie or Tyrant. If you can get the points, replace the Heavy Bolters on the Predator with Lascannons.
BTW, the extended carapace on his Genestealers is a waste of points against marines, since a bolter is AP 5. Also...he doesn't have much that can take out your predator, except his Genestealers, HT and Carnifex and none of those have long range weapons.

Also.. I didn't know I was playing Tyranid.. Or I would have put in a vindicator, 10 more Tactical guys, A command squad for the chaplian...

Well, as you're stuck with the assault squad, you might as well use it. You have a plasma pistol and a power fist in there- enough to cause some devastation. Throw them at something you don't want to waste shots on- Gaunts maybe, or Ripper Swarms. Plus, they can probably do well against the Tyrant Guard if they charge... that power fist specifically is what I'm thinking of... but AP 2 Plasma weapons are nice against his +2 saves. The Whirlwind should definitely be used to break up his formations by concentrating fire on the stuff that just lumbers across thw battlefield- the 'Fex specifically. Raveners... he's got six? Just concentrate bolter fire on them enough, and they should go away... but if their long movement is threatening something important, get those assault cannons in there and wreck 'em.
