Nameless Executioner VS Alexandria (darkreever rolled it so not rigged not that I would have rigged it anyway!)
I have taken a lot of poetic license with this story and some people may not like my story-writing style. If you don't like it feel free to write fluff for the next arena. The results are in white font so that you can read the story to its dramatic conclusion un-hindered by knowing who won.
Alexandria and the champion known as Nameless Executioner strode into the arena side by side to a scene of utter chaos. The crowd was in uproar and turning hurriedly violent. Shots began to sing out as the two crowd favourites approached and the crowd entered into a full-scale riot. Several of Alexandria’s supporters leapt into the arena firing their various needle and las pistols. Alexandria tried her best to call her rampaging supporters but the Executioner had other methods of crowd control. He unleashed his hounds into the mob mauling anyone not fast enough to abandon the arena. Outraged by the violent attack on her fans Alexandria opened fire on the hounds. As she fired a single hound leapt at her with alarming speed biting down hard on the inferno pistol. Alexandria recoiled as both pistol and hound exploded in a great ball of fire. At the death of a hound the Executioner recalled them and called for silence. At the commanding voice of Executioner his cultists fell silent and still. Still licking their wounds from the hound attack Alexandria’s fans formed a protective ring around the heavy metal band and awaited the fights beginning.
Alexandria fell to her knees praying to the emperor to grant her one last victory over his enemies. Nameless Executioner performed his prayers in other ways however and launched his attack. Alexandria held her hands to the sky and a wall of faith enclosed her. The Executioners attacks could not penetrate until at last, exhausted he fell back leaving his hounds to flail aimlessly at Alexandria. Alexandria leapt to her feet surprising the Executioner with her swiftness and stabbing her sword deep into his chest. Alexandria swirled to attack again but was jerked backwards. Her sword was stuck! It had jammed itself deep into the Executioners insides and was slowly melting from the chaotic toxins inside of him. Alexandria stepped back, alarmed that she now had no weapon left to fight with. Nameless Executioner pressed his attack as Alexandria desperately prayed to the emperor to save her. As the Executioner landed the killing blow there was a blinding flash of light. Nameless Executioner could not believe his eyes, before him stood the emperor of mankind. That same man he had served then fought ten thousand years ago. He had heard of so called avatars of the emperor when people took on his appearance and some of his power. He never would have thought he would have to fight this fight again.
Executioner finished his blow, watching as the avatar easily parried it aside with his hands. The Executioner cried out in pain as the avatar knocked him across the arena with a single blow. The Executioner had sided with the dark gods for a reason though. As a daemon prince of chaos they would aid him. The Executioner roared his prayers to the sky, watching as it turned a chaotic kaleidoscope of colours. Psychic lightning lashed out, burning great holes into the audience. The storm grew stronger and stronger as Nameless Executioner grew louder with his chanting. A great rift appeared in the storm above and gradually a mighty horned head tore its way through into reality. With a blast the mighty daemon burst into real-space and landed heavily on all four legs. He immediately began goring the avatar with each of his great tusks inflicting wounds even the emperor could not stop. Inspired by the daemon lord the Executioner and his hounds launched into an attack on the avatar. It reeled beneath the many hits of chaos but remained strong.
The avatar retreated to the far side of the arena, waiting to regain its breath. As it recovered it ran across the arena floor, ignoring the great daemon and slamming itself straight into the Executioner, sending him reeling from the blow. The avatar kept up the blows, each one slamming into deep into the Executioner’s armour and thick skin until at last the massive daemon acted and attempted to trample the avatar. The emperor held forth his hands and let the daemon come. The impact was tremendous but the avatar of the emperor refused to step aside for a daemon. The avatar broke his grip and launched himself at the mighty daemon with a vengeance. Striking the monster repeatedly in its face it looked as though he was slowly winning the duel. Shattered teeth, tusks and bits of burning flesh were knocked from the daemon under the heinous wounds inflicted. In its death throes the beast threw its head forwards, cleaving the emperor in two! The crowd erupted at the sight and no longer chanting the executioner roared his approval. The arena exploded with energy as the emperor used the last of his strength, sending his psychic will into the warp storm above. The storm lowered, consuming parts of the stadium as it neared the psychic beacon calling it closer. The storm hit home at last and unleashing one final mental attack both avatar and daemon were consumed into the warp.
Nameless Executioner was now certain of victory as Alexandria once again appeared unarmed and broken, collapsing on the arena floor. The Executioner patiently waited for Alexandria to regain her feet before launching one last charge. Alexandria tried to fend him off throwing whatever she could find, stones, personal relics, anything she could. It was nowhere near enough to stop the Executioner though as he rampaged across the arena with his hounds alongside. Taking up a broken tooth from the former daemon Alexandria prepared to make her final stand. The Executioner struck repeatedly and each time Alexandria took the wounds. Bleeding and broken Alexandria lunged at he Nameless Executioner and stabbed out with her improvised tooth of a weapon. Surprised at just how powerful her chaotic nemesis had been his fangs easily penetrated its way through the Executioners armour, emerging from the other side. His toxins could not save the Executioner this time as the raw power of the warp consumed his flesh. Nameless Executioner screamed in pain as the warp slowly consumed him, eating him away from the inside out. It took the Nameless Executioner several minutes to be completely consumed. The crowd sat silent, stunned. Alexandria cheered and her massed fans broke out into applause. The heavy metal band started on Kiene Lust and the arena was filled with the music. The champion had died, against all odds Alexandria had won her place in the hall of champions and given the emperor his first victory in the arena.
Alexandria gets first move, tests for +2 inv and gets it, fires inferno pistol (hits, wounds, kills a hound), and charges.
Executioner goes first in combat- 3 hit, 3 wound, all saved
hounds- hit 4, wound 4, all saved
Alexandria- 3 hit, 1 wound, failed save
Alexandria tests for faith, gets +2 inv
Executioner- 4 hit, 3 wound, 1 failed and causes two wounds instead of instant death
hounds- 4 hit, 2 wound, all saved
Alexandria- 2 hit, 1 wound, failed save
Alexandria tests for faith, gets final +2 inv
Executioner- 3 hit, 1 wound!, saved
hounds- 2 hit, no wound
Alexandria- 3 hit, 2 wound (twin six's!!), both failed Executioner is defeated
Nicely written, although i still think a 2+ invulnerable save is cheesy
Dice rolls please.
CAn' wait to meet you in the ring. Oh, and you have to love dreadaxes.
The dice rolls are in white at the bottom of the post. I felt like making you read the story before checking who won  . Just highlight it to read.
Well, I must say I am glad Alexandria avenged my death. I would have been a little pissed if she hadn't, and by "a little pissed" I mean Kailith's ghost would haunt Alexandria's monastery for centuries to come. In any case, the Gods of Dice and Metal showed who they favored. Kudos, Yoss. Kudos. I was pulling for her the whole time, even when I was pulling for Kailith.
Now, if it will not trouble the organizers too much, I have an issue I'd like to resolve. I've challenged Amishcellphone's character to a thrid-place match, and he has gratefully accepted. For reference, please see posts number 107 and 109 in this thread (WH40K Battle Arena 2 round 1 results). I don't know about the rest of you, but this is a fight I'd like to see.
Grats Yoss. Good luck in Arena 3. Lots of DPs out there, though Goji hinted that some of the DPs will be facing each other.

I think that anything that gives you a 5/6 chance of being unharmed shouldn't be allowed in votewar, IE no 2+ inv save, no T6, and nothing like the D-field which means you can only be hit on a 6. And having 3 wounds means you ave to fail your save twice. Which means it takes an average of 12 wounds to kill you. Even a Harlequin solitaire, who wounds on 2+ and gets 13 attacks, cannot do that.
Thank you, my good man. I'm very happy to have won.Well, I must say I am glad Alexandria avenged my death. I was pulling for her the whole time, even when I was pulling for Kailith.Ahh yes, but (all but one of) my faith rolls do require Ld, which I do need to pass. Evidently I did pass em, but there is a catch. The Faith does only last for 3 turns. Then my inv. is completley gone. So it is really the test of time.I think that anything that gives you a 5/6 chance of being unharmed shouldn't be allowed in votewar, IE no 2+ inv save, no T6, and nothing like the D-field which means you can only be hit on a 6. However I have T3, along with the DE in a mainly T4+ areana, meaning most guys need only to 2 hits to kill me, hence my protection. Anyways, no hard feelings Ezekiel, its all in the past. You were unlucky, but I look forward to seeing you at the top of the next round.
Alexandria will defend her current title, as she is. I expect to lose against all those Dread Axes.
But regardless of that...
FOR THE EMPEROR! A GIRL WON! FOR THE EMPEROR! :w00t:
And congrats Caluin. I really do think but for a few lucky rolls, you would have won.
