This is the first battle report submitted here that isn't against Uriel Bartholomew.
I know that I can't compete with his writing...but I'll be damned sure to try.
This was against another astartes player, who I am glad to say I finally bested (in a spectacular fashion) during this excursion.
Farseer Ulthiam sat atop his jetbike, as he watched the Astartes patrol the perimeter of Geryon-Epsilon. This base, Ulthiam knew, was integral to the war plans of the Mon-Keigh, allowing them movement throughout the Hydra sector. He cursed them under his breath, they were interfering with his true goals. These fights were consuming too many resources.
A psychic whisper touched the minds of his warhost, and as a single entity, the attack commenced.
The fire prism glided into position, its resonant crystal glowing with baleful energies, as a beam of white-hot energy seared through the armor of the astartes standing upon the landing pad, turning half of their unit into a pool of molten slag and steaming vapor.
Ulthiam smiled as he soared away, followed closely by his jetbike bodyguard. A pair of wave serpents strafed a scout squad as they readied their long rifles. The plasma pattered off the reinforced bulwark of the defensive lines and only inflicted minimal casualties as a pair of viper bikes took aim on an astartes predator, their bright lances failing to damage the thick adamantine armor.
Retaliatory fire made quick work of one of the fast moving vipers, and a wave serpent transport crashed to the earth as an imperial krak missile impacted its wraithbone hull. The surviving dire avengers spilled from the wreckage, and huddled in the broken earth as bolter shells and sniper fire poured into their position.
The second squad of avengers disembarked from their serpent, and covered their brothers in arms with shuriken fire, as the three survivors clawed their way out of the wreckage.
Farseer Ulthiam and his bodyguard were joined by Farseer Sithas on his jetbike, as they sped relentlessly to the marine position. Arcs of eldritch energy appeared, and seared the neurons in the brains of the astartes warriors. Without a second thought, the seers sped on, as their jetbike warhost raked the survivors with shuriken fire. They were already on task to their next target before the marines hit the ground.
By this time the fire prism had repositioned itself around the rear of the battlefield, and drew a bead on the marines clustered in defense of the landing pad. The crystal matrix of the prism cannon shone with power as the beam lanced through their bodies, and seared a molten hole in the bulkhead behind them.
The Mon-Keigh commander lumbered out from behind the power reactor, and leapt atop the gantry and rushed the avengers at full speed. Loose rubble and slag slowed his progress as wave after wave of shuriken fire pattered off his armor. As he staggered, the dire avengers redoubled their effort, and with supreme marksmanship targeted the soft joints between the thick ceramite plates until the terminator armor fell powerless from the support gantry, the astartes commander lying motionless.
The astartes were scattered by the brutal lightning assault of the Eldar host, and the few surviving astartes were surrounded. Though they would not go quietly, the astartes were doomed.
Ulthiam would not let any escape this day.
Hopefully I'll get another game in this weekend. There is a space wolf player that needs to be housbroken, and I hope to have a rematch with our group's newest player (Imperial Guard surprisingly enough).
* "I'm Significant!" -screamed the dust speck
* "Call me old fashioned, but an evil ascension to power just isn't the same without someone chanting faux Latin in the background."
I don't know why you doubted yourself, flawless writing. Most writers find it hard to capture the Eldar's thought process but you did it quite well. Congrats on the win, I'd love to see some more battlereports by you. May the Space Wolves take a righteous kicking, hot headed fools.

Nicodemus Lot, Master of Sanctity, Commander of the Fortress Monastary Redeemer, threw the plasteel datapad across the room with such force the ceramite walls of his humble cell spiderwebbed with cracks at the impact. He looked at the young astropath, watching in barely constrained anger as the boy flinced under the furious glare of the Astartes Chaplain.
"Summon Uriel..." he rasped, his eyes narrowing. "These Eldar will never learn. Despite the gentle prodding of my finest Epistolary." he watched the young man leave with haste, and ground his teeth. "Thrice now, they have attacked Geryon. Thrice now my Deathwing Brothers have ground them to dust...." He took hold of the grinning "death's head" helm of his Tactical Dreadnaught armor and traced a finger across the ruby eye lens. "Perhaps I must show them the err of their Xenos ways myself."
Uriel Bartholomew entered the chamber, and inclined his head respectfully. "You wished to see me my friend?"
Nicodemus simply gave the Epistolary a level look. Uriel nodded. "I will assemble the Deathwing immediately Brother. It will be good to fight by your side again."
Lot bowed his head. "It has been too long since my "crozius" has tasted blood Uriel. Much too long. But I will not leave the defenders of Geryon helpless. These Xenos seem to think that matters elsewhere on Medusa V garner more attention than them." He met Uriel's eyes. "They are mistaken...they make this a personal affront." Uriel nodded sympathetically. "Make sure my Land Raider is ready, I must go see to my assault squad."
Uriel nodded and stood aside for Lot to leave. He clasped the Chaplain's shoulder with his large hand and grinned. "Good news at least Brother. Sergeant Malachi was recovered from the Tyranid massacre site. He lives. The apothecaries say the augmetics will bring him up to full combat readiness."
Lot smiled a genuine smile, that mimiced a hunting predator. "Good. Give him a squad, we leave for Geryon as soon as all preparations are in order." with that Nicodemus set off down the hallway. Uriel smiled to himself, they had awoken the hunter, may whatever gods they worship redeem them, for Lot surely would.
Welcome, and congrats on your first Report bro. You'll get that rematch alright. Fluff demands it. Haha.
More good writing. Look forward to more and the development of the personalities under your command, Forsaken!
"Wife! You are abusing that Leman Russ model!"
