I played this game against a really cool tau player at the chicago grand tournament. He had an amazingly painted army and several Golden Daemon submissions (i dont' know if he won any or not). The game began with dawn rules and was a Take and Hold mission. Standard 1850pt grand tournament army.
Even Canonesses Sabine and Maria felt uncomfortable this close to Hell's Slingshot. In an effort to intercept an active Chaos Sorceror in the region, they had positioned themselves dangerously close to the encroaching warpstorm. They both knew that they faced not only the danger from Van Goethe's Rapidity, but also Tau forces that were present to study the warp anomaly. Among them stood quietly the force of Adeptus Sororitas in silent prayer, awaiting orders in the decompression chamber of the landing vehicle. The sobbing of the repentent ones emminated from the corner and faintly echoed in the metalic room over the frenzied whispers of the ecclesiarch assigned to guide them.
"Let us count our blessings sisters," the voice of Sabine suddenly barked, "for we are chosen to protect our Emperor's people!"
The door opened and the members of the Sacred Rose filed out into the strange environment.
About 2 days into their expedition, reports came early in the morning from forward scouts indicated Tau activity several kilometers forward. The Tau were coming to retrieve an escape pod that had jettisoned from an observatory vehicle. Canoness Sabine could see the pod nearby. Cacophonic screams eminated from within, indicating the taint of chaos that had reached its occupants. The pod must not be recovered.
"Prepare yourselves, servants of his holiness," cried Canoness Maria, "we are close to the enemy!"
Canoness Maria knew that the tau would be expecting them, but would not be sure of their strength. For this reason, she had decided that for her holy emperor, they would need martyrs to lead the Tau away from the main force. She conseled a squad of Dominion's and assured them the use of the force's Immolator to protect them as long as possible. In addition, the Repentent one's were to become ultimately graceful in their furious assualt against the aliens.
The two groups left together as the rest of the force sat huddled behind strange deformed rocks. The pointed rocks seemed to rasp and ache from the proximity of the glowing storm, seemingly the air was filled with whispers.
The Immolator set out at top speed in a cloud of smoke with the repentia following behind just as a Tau Devil Fish appeared on the horizon. The Sisters ached to open fire and sally to their sisters' aid, but they gripped their admantium beads and prayed silently. Several Rail rifle shots singed the cool morning air, landing landing harmlessly on the Immolator, however, the repentia suffered losses to seeker missle shots.
The fateful sun crept above the horizon as the force's two exorcists made their first volley of shots on the aliens, downing several shield drones. The Seraphim squad also stumbled into a squad of Vespid assualt warriors unexpectedly, and were it not for the grace of our emporer, would have suffered many casualties. However, the spirit of the martyr gave them grace to withstand the attack. Canonesses Maria and Sabine joined in combat to wipe out the disgusting yellow creatures and advanced closer to the flank of the Tau force with the Seraphim.
Meanwhile the Tau had destroyed the Immolator and the Dominions were charging forward in a heroic effort to engage the Tau with what little strength they had left. The repentia lay waiting in the wreckage of the Immolator waiting for the Battle Suits to approach.
The light of the morning sun mixed with the eerie glow of Hell's Slingshot on the white power armor as Canoness Sabine rocketed into the sky with their jet packs from behind the whispering rocks. Sabine's eviserator roared with fury as she landed in a pack of firewarriors shredding several into pieces as their weak attacks were repelled by her armor. Maria murdered three more aliens before chasing them from the battlefield. The Retributors poured fire into the Broadside battle suits from cover, downing more droids and wounding one battle suit.
A trio of glittering stealth suits suddenly thudded into the sand behind the wreckage of the immolator and next to one of the exorcists. A flash of heat and a hail of bullets rendered the holy exorcist launcher inoperable. Its driver sailed out into the open to provide cover for the advancing sisters. Veteran Sister Superior Ursela led her squad forward towards the stealth suits as the exorcist thundered forward. Three storm bolters and eight bolters loosed dozens bolt rounds into the stealth suits, killing them utterly.
Seeker missles sailed through the air all killing the remaining dominions, while the repentia faught off gun drones desperately only to be shot down by fire warriors.
The sound of thunder indicated the arrival of the Tau Commander and his body guard. They quickly loosed rounds of burning plasma upon the Seraphim, killing three. The seraphim limped back to cover. Enraged, Canoness Maria rocketed toward the Tau Commander loosing a fuel-charge close combat weapon killing a shield drone. She then engaged the surprised Tau commander in combat with her Blessed weapon.
Meanwhile the rest of the force had reached the escape pod and planted detonators on the vehicle. The two canonesses rallied upon the forces of the Tau, their commander wounded and immobile. The tau realized that the entirety of the remaining witch hunters had claimed their prize and that the day had been lost to them.
It was a Crushing Victory for the Order of the Sacred Rose.

Not good, marginal loss, major loss, Massacre, then two crushing victories to end it up.
Didn't knew you played WH Hextus.
Not only good play, but a very well written report. Many reports written in the background style suffer from weak writing, being incoherent, wordy and often riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. If I was an English teacher I'd give this an A.
thanks a lot guys, I could have spent a lot more time on it, as there are a few mispellings and repetions in wording, but i was so pumped i just blew through it
