Just wanted to share some pics and info about a Megabattle I played in yesterday (what a great way to end my autum break!).
The sides were:
Daniel with 2500pts Imperial Guard (That's me and I'm taking the pics so I won't be in the pictures)
Andreas with 2500pts Ultramarines (dude in beige sweather)
Jimmie with 2000pts Emperor's Children (guy in black with curly hair)
Mathias with 3500pts Black Templars (guy that's crying over his Land Raider Crusader on pic 150)
David with 3500pts Space Marines (blonde and bearded guy)
We positioned 4 boards togheter to form the battlefield, a total area of 12 x 8 feet, and placed 3 Necromunda carboard-buildings along the middle of the board to be the objectives to capture.
We used Infiltrate and Deep Strike special rules.
We rolled for sides and deployment and our side won, taking the long edge with the river. I deployed the Bassies to be able to fire almost anywhere on the entire table and we deployed our troops (24" deployment zone) to try to equaly support attempts to capture all three objectives.
Since both deployed our troops alternativly, our opponent deployed with a similar tactic, focusing on capturing each objective.
Turn 1 highlights:
We took the first turn and generally everything moved forward as far as they could. The Basilisks opend fire and the red one (which is actually a looted bassie since I didn't have a second IG-one at my disposal) managed to penetrate and immoblise & stun the BT Land Raider Crusader behind the trenches.
One of the Russes opened fire at a distant Land Raider but failed to do anything. The other moved to engage the infiltrating scouts but it's shot scattered away.
In our opponent's turn they did the same, moving up everything and trying to shoot some stuff with lascannons but they were out of range.
Turn 1 pics:
A couple of those from our deployment-pics are turn 1 pics.
Turn 2 highlights:
My squad of Kasrkin Deep Striked on the green table in front of the red Land Raider and managed to pop it with a Meltagun, taliking a nearby Templar with it and forcing the Command Squad to disembark!
An advancing Russ fired it's mighty Battlecannon at the shaken Command squad, killing 7 of the 10 warriors, leaving only the Librarian, Master and Veteran Sergant!
Jimmie brought forth 2 squads of 6 Daemonettes and chargd the advancing Bike-squads. The Assault was gruesome but the Bikes held their ground.
Almost everything else moved forward and we managed to shake, stun, immoblise and damage several veichles, almost only Rhinos though.
In their turn they deep striked a large squad of Black Templar Terminators and a smaller squad of regular SM Termies on the unpainted-board, our right flank that is. The BT squad blasted at the nearby Leman Russ but failed to do anything and the regular Terminators deep striked closer to the large ruin but managed to scatter 11" and land on top of the looted Bassie, killing the entire squad! Ouch!
The rest of the army advanced and tried to damage our armour and advancing warriors, but due to horrible dices they did little (they arn't supposed to roll that many ones!!).
Advancing Rhino-squads deployed before their second move and proceeded to do their best in helping the bikes out against the foul Daemons, succesfuly wiping them and the red Tactical squad consolidated into the nearby Noise Marines.
Turn 3 highlights:
The fearsome Keeper of Secrets were summoned in a bloody ritual, eager to feast on the souls of mortals. Andreas Terminator squad, including Marneus Calgar himself, deep striked close to the Rhino-squads on the left flank. The armour kept moving and shooting against enemy targets and most of the infantry squads stayed put and opened fire on the foe.
The Basilisks failed to do anything more than stun a Dreadnought this turn, their shots scattered of.
The Kasrkin moved into a nearby wood and opened fire on the remains of the Command Squad, killing the Master and the Sergant but the Librarians armour proved to strong.
The close-combat continued but the SMs only managed to kill a single Noise Marine.
In their turn 3 they deep-striked two assault squads on our left and right flank. A Land Speeder also swooped down close to the looted Bassie.
Our opponents continued their advance and the Emperor's Champion and a Chaplain, with their retinue of Sword-brethren that hadn't been killed by the Terminators, moved to assault Marneus and his warriors. The Emperor's Champion brought the Chapter Master down and only a few of the Terminators remained. In return, all of the Sword-brethren were slain.
Two more of the Noise Marines died at the hands of the Space Marines, but they held their ground firmly.
The large BT Terminator Squad destroyed a Russ with their Assault Cannons.
Again most of their weapons failed to do anything meaningful except shaking and stunning a few targets and taking down a Land Speeder. Altough they managed to destroy one of the Bassies with the Assault Squad on the left flank and they also destroyed the looted bassie's Earthshaker.
The Librarian cast Veil of Time and charged the Kasrkin, killing most of them. The last two ran for it and didn't do anything else in the game.
Turn 4 highlights:
The Keeper of Secrets advanced with a mighty roar and charged the squad locked with the Noise Marines. The third and final squad of Daemonettes were summoned but they hid themslelf behind the objective, ready to move forward and capture it.
Our mechanised half of the force kept moving, and the infantry stood firm and fired upon any target in their field of view. The Assaukt Squad near the destroyed Bassie were breaked and as they fell back they were assaulted by a Chaos Dreadnought.
A Tactical Squad led by a Honour Guard advanced forward in their Rhino, ready to assist their allies in the following turn.
Another Tactical Squad led by a Techmarine deployed near the middle objective before the Rhino moved and charged a Tactical Squad holding the middle objective.
The KoS only managed to kill a single marine with it's 5 attacks... The Emperor's Champion and the Chaplain killed the last Terminators and moved toward the bigger brawl with the KoS and Noise Marines.
They teleported in their last squad of Assault Terminators, positioning them in a trench close to the centre objective.
Most other things moved. A large squad of BT's that included a Marshal moved towards the middle objective and charged a squad of Possesed. The surviving BT bike charged the Noise Marines and the Emperor's Champion and Chaplian charged the KoS.
Their shooting faired better this time and they took down the last Russ with their Terminators and damaged some other tanks. The KoS finished of the Emperor's Champion and the last of the bikes were wiped out. The SM Rhino-squad fled back to their lines
Now that i check, I didn't take a single pic of turn 4... I was to engaged into the battle I guess.
Turn 5 highlights:
In response to the teleporting Assault Termies, Andreas moved his LRC forward and deployed his Chaplain-led squad of Assault Terminators.
The LRC's multi-melta blew of a nearby Dread's assault cannon and stunned it.
All the Guardsmen and Daemonettes on the left flank moved into the buidling and the squads in the middle also advanced. The right flank was lost so I just tried to destroy and damage as much as possible.
We shot with what could shoot and didn't achive much. The Chaplain and his Termies charged the opposing squad of Assault Termies and destoryed them, proceesing to consolidate into a nearby Dreadnought.
The Techmarine-squad finished off the last of the Tactical Squad and consolidated into a Dread closing in on the objective.
The Chaos Lord and his Chosen deployed from their Rhino and charged the BT Marshal's squad.
The assaults continued and the KoS destroyed the Chaplain and most of the Marsha's squad were killed. A few Possessed also hit the ground.
They tried to get enough troops into the objectives to contest them and they moved to capture the objective on the right flank. Not much shooting since most units were engaged in CC and much LOS was blocked by damaged veichles.
The last member of the Marshal's squad were finished of and the Lord wounded himself (Daemonic Weapon) and the Marshal.
Turn 6 highlights:
Only a single, critical thing happend in turn 6.
Our units moved deeper into the objective buildings and the last surviving member of the Rhino-squad was gunned down by a Lascannon. The few remaining Scouts were blasted to bits by heavy bolters.
The Marshal fell to the Daemonic Talons of the Possessed.
But the assault against the Dreadnought proved most critical. A single krak grenade from an Honour Guard managed to hit and stun it, preventing it from getting into the objective in the last turn! Victory was ours!
In their last turn they shoot some of our units and the last of the assaults were finsihed, but as the smoke cleared it was clear that we were victorious!
Glory and strength!
Here's some pics of the 6th turn and the table when the game finished.
Here's Mathias shedding a tear on his LRC that was immoblised in the first turn.
Don't ask how it got there...
It was a great game! Took us 7-8 hours to play but was very fun.
I'll hope you enjoyed this little report!

dear god thats a big report. Great Report. It'd be cool if there were orks or nids or something besides humans. With all humans it get very confusing, it's worse when some models are not painted or not matching the the color sheme. Just constructive critism. Overall it was cool seeing the big battle.

HOLY JESUS man!!!!! I was trying to listen to some music on the online radio while opening your report, and while reading the GW site, the music kept stopping to buffer every 3 seconds. First thought: Its dial up, it is usually sticky. Nope, connection is fine.
Alt.+Tab later, i find a huge picture that had only an inch of table and 5 inches of a wall! I start reading, and notice something about picture 150!?!? This is not (picture-heavy!), this is (picture freaking continental-huge-mungous-freakin-zilla equivalent heavy!!!!!!! :w00t: ) Just choose a good 5-20 pics and post them.
Wow, nice report. Sorry for the rude message, its just that many pictures tend to be overwhelming. Nice victory

Sleeping, not dead.
Removed by the moderators.
I have removed the img-tags.
It would have been fun with all-painted, but we don't care if the models are painted or not at out club. Doesn't matter to me really.
Thanks for reading it.

Very cool and huge battle report. Thanks for the Pics even though it ate a ton of bandwidth
Thanks for reading!
We'll probably play another megabattle during the winter break We'll see.
Just one thing I saw
static grass i just found out (after making the same mistake as on one of your boards) is meant to be applied sparingly with tweasers.
Flock is the stuff for large areas.
nice report tho.
Gah, so many pictures! its ok, (thank you high speed internet!)
oh, and next time, use 3 bassies! put that 240" indirect fire range to good use! =)
