Table: 4'x6' with a fair amount of terrain.
The Dark Eldar won the die roll and chose the long table edge, to keep thier prey confined to a small deployment zone. The Space Marines won the next die roll and bid the DE to deploy first.
The Talos patrolled the woods closest to the suspected enemy position hoping its reinforcements would arrive soon.
The mighty Predator Annihilator, having advanced recon intel on the Dark Eldar war machine, rolled into place hull down behind a hill waiting for the Talos to break cover.
The Chaplain dones his Jetpack and leads his troops in a prayer to the Emperor and then takes the field, followed by a Dreadnaught, a small squad of Terminators and a Razorkback filled with troops and bristling with LasCannon and Plasma Guns.
The Talos shrieks in fear.
The Razorback and Annihilator open a whithering crossfire on the Talos with thier LasCannons and only the dense woods saves the trembling War Beast.
The Terminators and Chaplain advance towards the enemy deployment zone.
A horde of Wytches and a mob of well armed Foot Troops Fleet of Foot up to the Talos in cover. A small squad of Scourges edge onto the field and scare the Annihilator crew with Dark Lance fire but fail to score a damaging hit.
The Ultra Marines remaining reinforcements fail to arrive, but the Chaplain is unconcerned. He already has enough on the field to decimate his foes.
The Annihilator moves behind another hill, hull down to the Scourges and fires a wild LasCannon shot at the Talos. The Razorback does the same but in a fit of righteous excitement they both miss thier target.
The Dreadnaught advances towards the Talos and mows down a few trees with it's Assault Cannon.
The Dark Eldar Haemonculous arrives with Grotesques in tow, escorted by a small meat shield of Foot Troops who all rush downfield towards the Terminators (or maybe as a fient to get to the deployment zone for the remaing reinforcements sure to appear next turn).
The Talos crashes out of the woods towards the distant Dreadnaught. The Wytches fall in behind it for safety in case the Razorback has a crew. The Foot Troops with them provide a flank screen for the Wytches from the Terminators and Annihilator.
The Scourges blow the LasCannon turret from the Annihilator and the crew is shaken. And although it is already protected from that flank by the Foot Troops, the Talos screams in delight thinking there were few things left that could harm it.
Turn 4 - roll 2 - there will be a turn 5
The Chaplain welcomes the reinforcing Scouts and directs them to move up behind the Dreanaught to support any assault from the wytches. A small Tac Squad arrives as well and sits comfotably at the edge of the field readying it's Missile Launcher for an attack on the Dark Eldar Death Machine.
The Razorkback disgourges it's troops in a defensive screen, anticipating an assault from the Wytches bearing Haywire Grenades.
The Talos dies under a hail of combined fire and explosives from the Krak Missile, LasCannon/Plasma Guns and Assault Cannon from the Tac Squad, Razorback and Dreadnaught respectively. The Chaplain nods to himself, well satisfied that things are proceeding according to plan.
The Terminators move up onto a small hill to reduce thier exposure to assault and open fire on the Foot Troop shielding the Wytches, causing 3 casualties. Unfortunately they completely forgot the Scourges and before the Chaplain can order them back, they come under Dark Lance fire.
The Scourges make the small Terminator Squad pay for thier lapse in judgement killing two.
The Haemonculus Fleet of Foots towards the remaining Terminators and the small Foot Troop and Grotesques follow at normal speed. The Troop unleases a hail of Cannon fire at the formidable Terminators but fails to inflict any damage.
The Large Foot Troop decides to risk it's single Blaster shot at the Dreadnaught instead of massed Cannon fire at the Razorkback squad. But the lone Blaster shot goes wide, a wasted shot.
Turn 5 - roll 3 - there will be a turn 6.
The Scouts and Chaplain advance in preparation for an assault on the Large Foot Troop squad. The Dark Eldar troopers lose 6 to the combines fire of the Chaplain, Scouts, 2 Tac squads and the Razorkback's LasCannon. The Sybarite curses as her troops flee the field for the cover of the trees, back towards thier lines.
This route opened up the Wytches to flanking fire from the Terminators and Dreadnaught who combined to only inflict 3 casualties, inciting the Wytches to a blood frenzy.
Unfortunately the rout of the Dark Eldar Foot Troopers left the Souts exposed with no one in range to assault.
The Wytches, howling with blood-lust charged the Scouts, hoping to make a sweeping advance into the Chaplain or Dreadnaught. The scouts died quickly to massive Splinter Pistol and Shredder fire and the Wytches just assaulted right into the Dreadnaught, howling with frustration as thier Haywire grenades failed to have any effect on the NOT immobilized Dreadnaught.
The large Foot Troop managed to consolodate only inches behind the wytches and anticipated decimating the small Razorback squad next turn.
The Haemonculuos surprised the Imperial Commander by using Fleet of Foot to assault into him but failed to wound the Emporer's faithful.
The Scourges oblitereated another two Terminators forcing the Terminator Seargent to roll as Last Man Standing. His imperial training would not let him quit the field and he prepared to charge and die a hero.
Turn 6 - roll 2 - this is the last turn of the game
The Tac Squad with the Missile Launcher, in a coordinated effort with the Razorkback and it's squad, opened fire on the Wytches and decimated them to a man.
The Dreadnaught advanced towards the Large Foot Troop killing 4 with it's AssaultCannon, forcing them to retreat, again.
The Annihilator moved forward a few inched to fire a sponson Plasma Gun, killing a Trooper near the Grotesques, but again the Imperials forgot about the (cherry picking) Scourges.
The Last Man Standing Terminator Seargent charged the small squad of Foot Troops near with the Grotesques and killed 3 in close combat.
The Chaplain unleashed several attacks on the Dark Eldar leader but failed to bring down the Shadow Field.
The Dark Eldar leader retaliates and scores a solid hit but the Imperial Spiritual Leader is saved by his superior armor. and his faith in the Emperor.
The Grotesques, after 4 turns of advancing finally have a target and they assault the Terminator Seargent, failing to even wound the Imperial hero.
The remaining 3 troopers also fail to hit the Terminator hero and the Scourges miss the damaged Annihilator.
To add insult to injury the Large Foot Troop squad fails to consolodate and flees into the woods.
The Imperial commander recites a prayer for the martyred dead and reports a victory to his Commander.

Thanks. I was the Dark Eldar and my slightly less experienced friend played the Ultra Marines. Going into this game I thought I'd win an handy victory. It took longer than expected to cross the table with the Wytches and Foot Troops. I'm going to have to buy a Raider or two for tables larger than 4x4.
