Now, me... always taking things too literally say to myself just by looking at the codex for this campaine "Why play? The title says it all"
Now, my question is (And I haven't followed 40k for a very long time now, I know nothing about this) but is the imperium doomed too loose? I just want to know Imperial v. Other **** stuff, and can the Imperium win? or is it as the title says?
FOR THE EMPEROR!
tnx for your time.
I once was dark, now im light.
The Imperials aren't doomed to lose - they aren't trying to save Medusa V from falling. The Warp Storm approaching is going to wipe it out, one way or the other.
The Imperials are doing various things - I believe the 'Guard are in there trying to rescue the remaining loyal citizens, and the Space Marines are trying to stop the Chaos forces from having their way, etc.
The planet will die, nothing can be done about that (warpstorm coming and all) but the Imperium can still achieve a victory if they stump their foes and destroy their objectives. The main objectives right now are to get as many civilians off the planet as possible, and to stop chaos from reaching the temple and performing a sacrefice, Thus allowing their leader to achieve daemonhood. These are both considered victories for the imperium, as they stop either a greater threat or allow for more bodies to continue it's work. WE aren't trying to save the planet, just the rest of the Imperium.
