[tactics] Everything's raider-mouted/jetbiking, giving huge manuverability. Raider squads seek-and-destroy anti-tank-weapons first, then kill enemies at lesiure, objective-grab. Grotesques and Heamonucleus will fly up and flame expensive squads. Wyches quick-assault enemy assault squads, where they do best. RJBs+archon sweep round sides, assault or tank-hunt (they’re devastating). Ravager blows up vehicles/armoured troops.

The army flits about, avoiding return shots and using massive firepower to crush enemies. [/tactics]

I can see the DE list winning this, the tau lack long range firepower, and if cover is used well,i don't see any way for the tau to stop the raider horde before it hits their lines. The stealth and shas'o will do some damage but the Dark eldars have enough units to take it and wipe them out come their turn. League of extroardinary gentleman ftw

I think the Dark Eldar will win, the vast amount of disintegrators will be the death of the tau army.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.

Bucking the trend and voting Tau, as there are too many small units for the DE to deal with. They charge one unit, and can't overrun into the next one, allowing the Tau to get off a decent Shoot phase every turn.

Both armies have a heavy load of small units, however with the raider/5-man squad combos the deldar have going, tau could rack up a massive amount of killpoints early on. The Stealth squad especially presents a huge threat to the DEldar as one round of shooting from them could very well take a unit off the map.
On the other hand, with a Dawn of War mission the Deldar are ate a huge advantage of not being shot in the first round, and their warriors could potentially get into CC right off the bat first play. I see the LoEG having a very tough time with vehicles though, the darklances all being changed out for disintegrators. The blasters prove a threat but might be in trouble if anything draws a bead on them. This is a major toss up... I'll have to consider this more before giving a vote.

Im with AFG, the tau can destroy a unit of dark eldar each with a moderate turn of shooting.

I disagree with the long range fire power comment. The tau have three rail guns which is quiet a decent amount.
