For deployment I deepstrike the Farsight unit aiming to land near there preferred targets of things like terminator squads, assault based squads, anywhere that AP2 is needed to remove the enemy unit from the board. The unit should be able to put out enough shots to even make horde units wince. The two mounted Firewarrior squads move together and when a target presents itself they deploy behind the fish and shoot under it using the skimmers as a wall to prevent a counter assault on the warriors themselves. The third firewarrior squad steals the Pathfinders 'fish and try to stay out of the way and unmolested as best as possible. The Pathfinder's light up units or vehicles that im going to be shooting at that turn. Broadsides are my tank hunters with hammerhead laying down large blast templates with submunition rounds. I concentrate fire on one unit till its gone then move on. There is no such thing as overkill as long as it stops twitching.

The Tau will be tabled. The Tau have only 1 shooting phase before combat is reached. I see the Crisis suits being charged turn 2 by the truck boyz with the battlewagons coming arriving in turn 2. Keep in mind that as few as 2 regular slugga boyz can easily take out a unit of 10 fire warriors on the charge. The only way the Tau could prevent a tabling, would be to table the Orks first which I do not believe they can do (as stated before, they have 1 shooting phase to do it).

So my vote is for the Orks.

Adding to that, the Tau have WAY more KP to give away. I have to give this one to the Orks.

As krox said, the Tau will get one really clear Shooting Phase, but the deployment type means that its hindered by Nightfighting.

Too many Kill Points to give away. Orks should win quite easily.

If the Tau army had had some missile pods I might have gone the other way. The suits come with acute senses so get to re-roll their night-fight. But without missile pods, its pretty much a moot point.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
