Deployed centrally the three boyz units will rush forward, and providing I get the 1st turn can charge ANY place on the board (4x4) on the second turn regardless of their trukk being destroyed or not. The kanz will either shoot at veichles (preferably transports) or run towards the thickest fighting. Redundancy, speed, and brute force. This list is built with a compettive mindset. Best of luck to everyone WAAAGGHHH!

I actually like this match up a fair bit.

My initial thought is to lean towards the Imperial Guard for two main reasons -

1.) The Imperial Guard get to act first, which I think will give them a fair chance to disable or destroy at least one and maybe two of the transports, which will stall the Ork advance somewhat.
2.) The Orks have no sure/reliable way to stop/stall the IG Chimeras from moving about - and with those flamers, the more set-up the Imperial Guard have the worse it'll be for the Orks.

Now, I don't mean to say that it'll be a landslide or anything, inevitably some Orks are going to catch a transport and maybe even get their hands on a squad of troopers. And those Killa Kans are going to be murder when they manage to arrive and I am guessing that the HK missiles will be spent on the transports and that the Guard won't be able to scramble quick enough to stop both Kans from causing problems.

I'm leaning IG, but I do think the final fight will be a bloody and brutal close quarter brawl that could, with luck, be redeeming for the Orks. I could still be swayed (though I won't be voting).

Krixogor01's force is designed for this battle. We've got something around the lines of 8 heavy bolters (24 S5 shots), 4 autocannons (8 S7 shots), 4 flamers for up close burning goodiness, along with 4 HK missiles. The HK's will be used on teh transports, being S8 missiles. That leaves Krix with 6 heavy bolter shots on each trukk, with glances on 5's and pens on 6's. I believe that this is more than enough firepower to stop at least two trukks first turn, forcing the boys to walk. from there, the Autocannons target the Kanz, whilst the Heavy bolters of the chimera's shred the boyz. 10 ork boyz squad run very easily without a bosspole. Even if the orks somehow manage to reach the Guard lines, the flamers in each squad allow Krixorog to counter assault, or burn the orks and then increase his chances of winning the against the ork charge. As an Ork player, I can say without any doubt, that this match is going to be a 'trukk turkey shoot'. There's just no conceivable way the Ork trukks can stand up to all that S6-7 shooting. Maybe if the Orks had some anti-armor shooting of their own, to give them some cover fire, they could make it. As it stands, I don't see it happening. IG wins.

I have to give my vote to IG they have enough firepower to drop the trukks and got first turn giving them enough time to use it. The orks on the other hand have very little to open the guards transports until they get to melee meaning they will have to survive the guards full shooting for several rounds.
