"DRD-B37-116 - Brutus Gaering" Venerable Dreadnaught (HS with MOTF) Heavy Flamer, Multi-Melta, Extra Armor
Objective: middle woods
Whirlwind : hide
Devs: LHS Woods
Lascannon C/squad: In each wood (L,M,R)
Multimelta dread - central
Ironclad dread - advance on central wood
Assault combat/squads - flamer central/right, both meltas (between lft/mid trees)
Lraider (MOTF & Terms) - central, good view
Scouts: centre woods
Enhanced terrain - LHS woods (with devs and lascannon)
First: Don't forget the objectives
I expect StormKnights : combat squad everything, maybe keeping the razorbacks/vindi's in reserve. He's short of cover, the attack bikes are likely: 1)on the left, behind the hill and 2) "hook" around the right woods.
scouts? that central building. His objective? probably behind the impassable terrain
Vindi's & Transports die first. Hold back (or move back) my transports turn 1-2 to ensure I keep my LasCnn LOS good (and deny his Short Ranged multi-melta & demolisher shots)
The land raider stays back, shooting, then disgorging contents late game
There should be a central vehicle graveyard as las/melta/dread rip up everything. dreads charge combat squad if vindi's unavailiable
- on turn 4 decide to : go for his objective with my central troops, or go back to really secure mine. the dreads move on to contest.
My fire priority:
L/Raider: Vindis -> Razorbacks -> Bikes -> Dakka pred
Lascannon squads: Vindis -> Razorbacks -> Bikes -> pred
Devs: Tacticals -> Bikes -> Scouts -> side armor
Meltas (hatch): -> oppertunity
Scouts-> infantry / bikes.
Whirlwind: Scouts (hahaha!) -> Las infantry ->Bikes

Vote closes on Thursday 31st of March at 1800 PM. Votes as usual must be in bold, and posted along with a reason. It doesn't have to be good mind you, just written down. Crap reasons will have no negative repercussions aside from your peers thinking you are an idiot.
If no tactics have been submitted, please assume average skill level for that player.
I'm going to give this one to Adepticus Mechanicus. The army is more assault-orientated, but with intelligent use of cover and the "average skill" of the opponent, they might just make it their to cause some trouble.
If someone helps you, rep them.
In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?
I would probably have given it to the storm knights if they had good tactics because those bikes are both not that high on the target priority list and going to wreck those dreads turn 1. However, I can't trust an average player to Deploy correctly, and the Mechanicus are deployed in cover and should be able to disable the vindicators with their lascannons.
Through victory my chains are broken
Having tactics and thoughts above the average player, this will in the end win the game for Adeptus Mechanicus.
Despite the Storm Knight's lack of tactics and deployment info, I'd have to say this game will end in a draw. Adeptus Mechanicus, despite the information overload, will have problems getting to the Storm Knight objective. They don't have any fast units, and the Storm Knights have plenty of meltas to deal with the land raider and a few rhinos. Dreads do not need to be destroyed. They could simply be tied up in assault away from the objective if necessary. Even the average gamer will know to shoot at anything coming towards them, especially if that unit is threatening.
If only the Storm Knights had listed some tactics, I would have given them the win. But as it is, I just don't think Mechanicus have what it takes to be able to contest the Storm Knight objective.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
Capture and Control is gay. Actually no, that isn't quite correct, Capture and Control is Asexual. Draw.
I wanted to vote for Adeptus Mechanicus, I even typed it 3 times and delted it. Capture and control just isn't good for his list. Not enough to take the enemy objective, (such is often the case in capture and control)
Draw Capture and Control in this case won the game.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
The meltabikes will absolutely obliterate the land raider...then die. At the same time, the vindies will go down hard to lascannon fire (the land raider will get one shot)...after that:
o The storm knights' scouts have zero cover to work with, making them easy meat for the whirlwind.
o The storm knights have fewer antitank guns (after the bikes are dead), and have to choose between shooting a charging 3++ termie squad, a pair of hard dreads, and a bunch of nonthreatening rhinos, while the AM have plenty to handle the dakkapred and the razorbacks.
After a couple of turns of exhanging antitank fire while the forcibly dismounted termies run run run and the whirlwind pounds the scouts into man jerky, I think the rhinos will have been ignored, allowing the AM to mount a pair of squads for a rush on the enemy objective. They hold their own and contest the other.

With average skill, I have to assume that the Storm Knights will move forward, giving AM some extra time to shoot and maneuver around their army.
Although it's close to a draw, with solid tactics, I have to give it to Adeptus Mechanicus.
