    Match 2.07 : LX710 Harbringers of Shadow vs Sa'ceu'la Kau'ui

Mission: Seize Ground with 4 objectives
    Deployment: Dawn of War
    Map: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink

LX710 Harbringers of Shadow deploy in the top half and go first.

    LX710 Harbringers of Shadow
    List
"LX8" Necron Lord w/ Warscythe, lightning feild, Gaze of flame. 150
    "LX8's bodyguard" 5 Pariahs. 180
"LX9" Necron Lord w/ Resurrection Orb, Phase Shifter. 170
    "LX7alpha" 10 Warriors. 180
    "LX7beta" 10 Warriors. 180
    "LX7delta" 10 Warriors. 180
    "LX7Shadow" 2 Wraiths. 82
    "LX7Striker" 4 destroyers 200
    "LX8Striker" 4 destroyers 200
    "LX8's personal Monolith". 235
    "LX9's personal Monolith". 235

    Deployment
I would start with LX9 and LX7alpha and LX7beta on the board, hugging cover, and deployent around LX9 to have him benifit from cover. Next, LX8 and his bodygaurds will step onto the board followed by the LX7 and LX8 Striker squads, with LX7Shadow turbo boosting on from a corner to cover. LX7delta will also walk onto the board, while the two Monoliths will deepstrike.

    Tactics
While LX9 and his two squads of warriors are deployed first, they will move toward any available cover, while also moving in the direction of the nearest objective. When LX8 and his team enter, they will move forward, hugging cover to any objective, while firing at any available unit. LX7delta will move then run to another objective, while the Striker squads release supporting fire onto the enemy to clear objectives. LX7Shadow will turbo boost to an enemy object in the back of thier army and try to assault it later, while the two monoliths will deepstrike onto enemy objectives.

"Greatwhite" Hammerhead - Disruption pods, railgun, burst cannon, multitracker
"Bullshark" Hammerhead - Disruption pods, railgun, burst cannon, multitracker

    Deployment
Shas'el starts on the map behind the impassable terrain, If I can infiltrate any kroot into those bushes I will. If not I move them as close to the objectives or woods as I can. If any objectives are in the woods the Kroot go for that, or the building if it's in there. (not worried about kroot screen as I am not fearing necron assault). Walk everything else into a castle formation near an objective on my side of the table. Walk in suits behind the impassable terrain for JSJ abuse.

    Tactics
Use jsj on that impassable terrain to kill destroyers with my suits and keep them alive. Then clean up pariah's/wraiths then move to warriors. Railguns full strength on those monoliths then pie plate the warriors and use the broadsides on destroyers if any are still up. Use piranha's on destroyers first, then to slow down warriors /pot shot them. Keep devil fish alive by hiding them till late game behind my other vehicles. Last couple turns run out and contest/capture objectives with piranha's and d-fish (kroot go for 1, d-fish going for 2 others, any living piranha for last). Kill destroyers and monolith early (use markerlights to assist), mobility hampered run and shoot them to death as they have no veil on lord. Going second, will be back won't be able to let him stand up and contest objectives. Kroot will also pot shot warriors and hide in cover. Suits can contest objectives too.

Vote closes on Thursday 31st of March at 1800 PM. Votes as usual must be in bold, and posted along with a reason. It doesn't have to be good mind you, just written down. Crap reasons will have no negative repercussions aside from your peers thinking you are an idiot.

If no tactics have been submitted, please assume average skill level for that player.

The Tau have the correct tactics. "Shoot the destroyers. Shoot the destroyers. Shoot the destroyers." IMO necron armies can't afford to mix and match. Some Destroyers,Wraiths, a couple of Monoliths, only 1 Orb, Pariahs... Not streamline enough*. Tau.

*IMO the Necron codex consists of these units: Destroyers, Immortals, Orb Lord (optional: Destroyer Orb Lord), Tomb Spyders, 20 Warriors (no more, no less).

    Tau

This is just a bad matchup for Necrons. Tau have the right target prioritization, enough firepower to take on both the monoliths as well as MEQ infantry, out-ranges the necron player and have the speed to contest objectives in the late game. Necrons lack the speed nor the range to deal with Tau, as their destroyers should not survive 1-2 turns of Tau firepower. Wraith unit is just too small to do anything really and will not be able to contest, as Tau has 2nd turn and will just shoot them down. I just don't see this going well for necrons. Solid victory (not massacre) for Tau.

    Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2

    Tau

The seoncd list the crons have gone against which just isnt right for them. The tau have superior fire power which they can bear down on the crons. They just cant retaliate.

I am a Tau, this is my gun, that WAS you... Shame really. All those guns, Hammerheads, Broadsides, Markerlights, etc. Going to get messy. Just a really bad match up for the 'crons.
If someone helps you, rep them.
In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?

    Tau

Essentially for all the above reasons. Credit to the Cron player to take crons to a votewar, but its gonna be very hard for him to get a win.

Tau. Necrons have half the right tactics. Dropping the monoliths on enemy OBJs is good. Failing to take down the rail guns is bad. S10>monolith. Once again, the necron player had the tools. if he could just kill the rail guns, then suck warriors through the monoliths late to claim two objectives, that's a draw, at worst, and if he had but one surviving destroyer to contest with (hey, by taking the enemy OBJs, he forces them to cross the board towards his own, which is beautiful!), a win.
