For this battle I will keep the Scourges and Wracks in reserve, to go for objective (Well the wracks at least)
I will deploy the Grotesque/Haemonculi and Incubi/Archon raider to the front centre of my deployment zone, flanked by the Warrior raider and the Ravagers/Voidravens directly behind them, making sure I get some intervenig terrain
First turn my Voidravens will devastate the Whirlwinds, while dissie ravager shoots Devastators, Assault Squad, COmmand Squad (in order of preference, depending on cover) While the raider with Warriors close in (and if within range, finish of what the Ravager started, if not whatever target is near, the Incubi and Grotesques zoom closer but remain directly behind cover, to get a second turn assault at the tactical squads, when the Scourges arrive they will deepstrike in the neighboorhood of depleted squads, to finish them of, in later turns the Warriors finish the work of the ravager,

"Nai'no'kami" Whirlwind 85
Iíll combat squad everything but the assault squad (two plasma cannons in each dev squad), and put everything with a heavy weapon in it, plus Ezekielís squad around my objective around the hill in my deployment zone, with the max-coherency squads spread out from one another and only the heavy weapons themselves and Ezekielís squad on top of the hill, so shatterfield missiles canít completely miss, but how many units they hit, and how many models within those units are hit, is minimized . The sergeant halves of my combat squads deploy strung out to minimize shatterfield casualties as close as possible to the enemy objective. One whirlwind goes in the trees, and the other near the ruins in the top right table quarter, with the intent of moving in there for cover on turn one. The captainís assault squad will deepstrike behind the enemy objective so Iím assaulting from two directions.
Heavy weapons will target the ravager, then any voidraven that hasnít fired its shatterfield missile, then raiders from nearest to farthest, then the lascannons target voidravens that have fired missile, while plasma cannons switch to infantry from best save to worst. Whirlwinds fire incendiary castellan (S4 AP5, ignores cover) at any infantry with 5+ or worse save in cover, then vengeance missiles (S5 AP4) at any infantry. Assault force makes straight for the enemy objective. Ezekielís squad counterassaults on my objective. Given the chance, Ezekiel tries mindworm on the LD8 haemonculus (18Ē range, LD test or die)
Vote closes on Friday the 20th of May at 1800 PM. Votes as usual must be in bold, and posted along with a reason. It doesn't have to be good mind you, just written down. Crap reasons will have no negative repercussions aside from your peers thinking you are an idiot.
If no tactics have been submitted, please assume average skill level for that player.
A match with both people votingChoice, brownie points for having scoring units score(Well the wracks at least)
Hmm, toughie. Dark Angels Terrain plays favourably for the marines (hills , lascannons and lots of plasma!), I think that his prioritising is a little better. I just feel as if the DE attack waves will crash upon the SM defense. Combat squading is a slap to the face in this one.
If someone helps you, rep them.
In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?
Dark eldar 4 plasmas and 4 lascannons wont be enough anti-tank so dark eldar will keep their speed wich means incubi and grotesques will hit DA lines and marines dont have enough CC ability to remove them. wracks will flame the assault squads to pieces wich means dark eldar will hold one objective and the othe should be contested

DE doesn't have what it takes to take out all those marines in cover. On the other hand, DA has no way of getting to the DE objective to contest...at least not without dying. That means the assault squad, dead by the time they reach the midpoint.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
Well, the assault squad is deepstriking if I read that right. But I think we'd still agree that they're doomed. I think it's also very unlikely for the DA player to clear those wracks off the objective with long range shooting. Especially since the wirewinds can't really hide on this map and have high target priority. Also since the wracks could hide behind a downed raider at the very least.
So the question comes down to what's going on over on the DA side of the board. The DE don't have to take out all those marines in cover, they just have to stick in there and contest until the game ends, even if they're being slaughtered. I think they'll manage, so I vote Dark Eldar.
Remember, while little combat squads are harder to gun down than big squads, they also give up easy(er) pain tokens. I'm predicting lots of burned out raiders and DE corpses littering the hillside, but some unit high on souls near the objective.
Both have a chance to me.
THE DA have good fire tactics, and their army is solidly defensive. The cover is a plus, but works both ways - Finishing off un transported DE will be a pig IMO. The assault squad is surprisingly tough, (from my experience using them) but I fear it's not enough.
The DE have a solid attack line, but I also fear that the spearhead deployment - that extra length to travel - and the solid firepower from DA will leave them transporter less quite quickly. They will hit the lines, albeit reduced. The DA will take casualties, but slower than desired (The whirlwinds are dead but I think they'd get cover - either way they're distracting from the marines anyway, so there's their points well spent)
I'm torn. But, 20 Wracks and 2 scourges with raiders v 10 marines = dead marines. no doubt. DE will not get their vehicles to that gun line, or no more than 1-2 (at very best) DA will defend, but with losses.
DE could contest, if DA is lucky the Ass Marines turn up late (and contest too, with the defenders softened up by whirlwinds before they die)

Theyve got a good fire prioritory, and the DE tactics are a bit vauge by comparison. The bit that really irks me is the lack of anything to do with th objectives. All i can see is the wracks and scourges have the objective in mind. Which one isnt mentioned, but it sounds like the DA's. In other words it seems the DE have left their objective very sparse. That assault squad has a good chance to contest, and I think it'll be very hard for the DE to do the same. It could well be a draw, but edge DA.
