Deploy on the corner of the map farthest away from his attack bikes. All 4 units are in their land raiders, Kharn in the smaller berzerker squad.
I have 9 kill points, all of which are, or in, AV14. He has 18.
Target priority is as follows:
Attack Bikes> Nearby Razorbacks> Vindicators
I have an 18 inch assault range out of the land raiders, and will charge the vindicators given the chance. Obviously, I will also charge marines that are within melta range. I do not perceive his terminators to be much of a threat, as I have enough dedicated assault units that I can counter-charge without fear of losing more than a couple men. Also, my melta termies can go after his crusader if it gets in range. Honestly, I think that this is a favorable matchup for my army and he won't be able to take out more than a couple raiders, and I shouldnt have trouble getting kill points myself.
Vote closes on Saturday the 4th of June at 1800 PM. Votes as usual must be in bold, and posted along with a reason. It doesn't have to be good mind you, just written down. Crap reasons will have no negative repercussions aside from your peers thinking you are an idiot.
If no tactics have been submitted, please assume average skill level for that player.
Harvesters of khorne at best marines will blow up 2 LRs due to first turn movement into an advantageous positions couple with a few vindicator pie plates might give marines up to five kill points however CSM will have 2 easy KPs from bikes 4 from charging the marines who got out to pop a LR besides that LRs should snipe a few razorbacks giving CSM a easy victory in KPs.
The list is essentially built to slaughter Land raiders. Vindicators at S10 ordinance, meltas everwhere... and even hammer/sheild termies.
With first turn the strike force will absolutly crush them i would expect
Your friendly neighbourhood gargantuan creature
Strike Force Celestial Rain
While I'll give brownie points to CSM for having deployment and tactics, I'm going to give the game to BA because 1) they're going first and 2) they've got the mobility advantage. Bikers should be getting 3+ cover until they're in range to double-melta those land raiders (and then they die). The rest of the vehicles - vindies and razorbacks - can move 18" or 12" and still fire. That means CSM can forget about assaulting them with much success.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
Aggressive, fast, melta-fist combination. It's annihilation, and BA will lose some in going after those Raiders, but in the end the chaos will be pulled down by the red marines.
Hate to see someone who's gone to the effort of writing tactics and not getting my vote... Sorry bro.
If someone helps you, rep them.
In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?
Focusing the bikes first will probably take them down before too much damage is done. Sure they get their 3+, but if enough effort is placed on them they will drop. Not to mention the other player is using his "average tactics". I table people with average tactics, and even if I go into a game with a plan and it seems to not be working I can refigure my plan to make it work. I feel that since the CSM player is "here" so to speak, he can probably out tactics this "average" player even though his list might have some adavantages.
It kills me, but I have to vote for BA here. Their list is just perfectly designed to take out the Chaos army here, especially the land raiders.
What would have won it for Chaos was focusing on taking out the vindicators and getting the assault against the infantry, killing the priests and HQs first, if possible. To do this, however, they would have had to accept that there's no way to save the land raiders in the long run. Use them to the best effect, and then let them get blown up. Taking out the enemy infantry, while making sure the vindicators don't blow you away, is a much more important priority in this match up.
