Game Type: Annihilation, Dawn of War
Any unit that cannot regroup are now small enough to hide (i.e. immediately destroyed). Otherwise they cannot move off the table and so will hang around until they rally. Walls and pillars are solid, 12" high and nothing can park on them - but barrage can fire over everything.
Coven of the Withered Fang deploy in the top half and go first.

No matter how he deploys, Iíll put down a Canoness to get stuck in early. 2++, and her dying only gives me extra faith points to use (11 to start with is heaps already!!). Rest will roll on. Exorcist being given best lines of fire. I will accept steal the initiative.
All those Raiders and Ravagers are very easy and juicy targets. Exorcists will likely be taking down 2/3 of those a turn... Obviously focussing on Ravagers over Raiders, priority is whatís dangerous to me. Roll up, Melta those vehicles, easy KPís. Those squads are relatively easy as well. T3 and 5+ armour mostly... I donít even have to make my Bolters Rending to obliterate that. Grotesques will be trickier, but focused Melta/Heavy Flamer/Rending Bolter fire can pull them down with 2+ squads targeting simultaneously.
With the map, he can get the jump on me with smart deployment/movement. But Iíll be moving in large groups down those tunnels, meaning that what he doesnít kill, will hit him very hard next turn in shooting and assault. Smoke Launchers, convoy formation to minimise my own losses.
Vote closes on Tuesday the 21st of June at 1800 PM. Votes as usual must be in bold, and posted along with a reason. It doesn't have to be good mind you, just written down. Crap reasons will have no negative repercussions aside from your peers thinking you are an idiot.
If no tactics have been submitted, please assume average skill level for that player.
At first glance I was ready to give the Dark Eldar a close victory, but I'm going to give the Witch Hunters the benefit of the doubt with their tactics. It could have been added that "I will pop smoke when I roll on" and "screen the Exorcist when I roll on" though.
The sisters tactics are solid, and the exorcists should destroy skimmers with ease. The DE would win if they took out the exorcists quickly, but I'd need to see that in the tactics to assume it.
"Any job worth doing, is worth doing with a powerklaw."
Tactics are pretty good, and theres lots of reasonably soft targets for the sisters to gain points from.
Your friendly neighbourhood gargantuan creature
I'm a little torn. There are enough dark lances to have a pretty good chance of at least shaking all the exorcists even through the cover saves. Maybe figure one shaken, one immobilized and one destroyed.
And then you get where dawn of war really hurts sisters. Even on their second turn they likely arne't going to be able to get within melta range, so not a whole lot of shooting from them then either.
Hmmm. It's interesting to consider the next turn. If the sisters saved their smoke, figuring the DE would shoot at exocists anyway, they'd be pretty resiliant now. And DE probably still have to shoot at some exorcists.
If the sisters are pretty intact and buttoned up on round three they should be able to tilt the KPs in their favor as they start downing raiders. However once dismounted the sisters are close to some very nasty DE forces with liquifiers and CC capability drooling for some pain tokens.
Well, everybody else is going sisters, so I think I'll vote DE because I think there's a pretty good chance the ladies aren't going to be able to muscle and faith their way through to victory this way.
Thats a lot of FNP on the other side, and I think when the exorcists go down (thats a lot fo lances) it will be a tough battle between fnp and invul saves, but I think the DE can take it.
