The larger Troops squad goes with the Emperor's Champion in the Land Raider Crusader, and the Marshal goes with the Assault Squad. The Land Speeders provide anti-tank support, and the other two Rhino squads support the Assault Squad and EC squad in close combat - the worse WS of the Neophytes is countered by the EC's vow.

Well, the space wolves have more powerfists, but the BT have more anti-tank. Having said that, the spae wolves are really in form some trouble when the rhinos get blown up. Then the long-ranged firepower of the BT will help them win. The only things the SW player has that can shoot far are the Exterminator and Razorback.

    i vote space wolves
-i don't think the shooting of either list will amount to much, but the space wolves have generally better CC, and the tanks will cancel each other out, and not amount to much.
Procrastination- hard work often pays off over time, but laziness always pays off now.
Indifference- it takes 43 muscles to frown, and 17 to smile, but none to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I vote HUGE Black Templars Win

They have a better army overall, and a better army for winning a recon mission.

1st their multi-melta landspeeders and the multi-melta on the razor will all 3 crack the spacewolves' only long-range/anti-armor weapons, the dread, the razor-back and the pred. They can potentially do that 1st turn with all three of those vehicles, or via deepstrike, so they have flexibility. One of those things will go down.

2nd the black templar tactical squads have missile launchers, so they can probably crack a rhino or two without even using those multi-meltas. At least one spacewolf rhino will go down, but I am betting both.

3rd the land raider's twin-linked AC and hurricane bolters will chew up wolf squads like there is no tomorrow, and the wolf squads are not very large.

The black templar player can look at the deployment and decide to A) strand the spacewolf troop squads and them shoot them to pieces, or to blow up all the spacewolf anti-armor units and rely on their vehicles to get them into the enemy deployment zone. I think he will probably blow up the transport vehicles, since the razorback looks like the only thing that can really reliably hurt the land raider.

Finally, the only spacewolf units that can make it into assault relatively intact, the bikes, will be outnumbered, and even if they get the charge, they won't go three rounds with that chapter master, the jump pack squad, AND the land raider squad. No way.

PS Ezekiel, did you mean to vote Space Wolves?

    I'm abstaining.

The lists are actually too similiar for me to call. I'd say that the Space Wolves have marginally the better list though (missile launchers on assaulting squads...) and have the weapons to kill the LRC easily.

However ultimately it's be down to generalship on this one.
