    Dark Eldar

They have more anti-infantry than the Eldar, and they can devastate them when they get into close combat. The DE also have enough anti vehicle firepower to take out the vipers. Add to that that the Eldar is mainly anti-SM, so it has a lot of points wasted on AP2.

    Not sure about that, Eze.
The majority of the Eldar will be coming out of the Wraithgate, so will almost certainly get the first shot off. They will be able to take a huge dent out of the raiders, and when they're down they're pinned, and are going to have some serious problems. The Vypers have CTM too, so can move, shoot and move again (essentially) so are safe from return fire.

Yes, there is a lot of AP2, but that stuff will be mostly used against the raiders to bring them down, and as I said before, they're safe from return fire...

I think it will be very close, and both sides will take a damned good kicking, but in the end,

Eldar Win because they can most likely take the majority of the loot counters, as they have a good attacking and defending force, but it will be very close. I could be convinced otherwise.

Hmm the webway is going to be kinda busy for this battle. . .

Both armies start partial, and suddenly spring into action suddenly. It's hard to call wich is going to get the drop on the other.
The storm guardian defenders are going to chew up the dark eldar shooting if they get into range.
But the Dark Eldar have more and better CC units, and the capability to get them into action. As this is going to be an in you face battle, I'm leaning towards the CC being the deciding factor for a win for dark eldar, but I'm not certain. I abstain from voting as of yet.
    Votewar MKV 2nd place. . .

Back from internet limbo, and glad to be here.

Well, the vypers can easily hunt down the raiders. Once destroyed (which they definatly will be)
they will be pinned, and under 50% since DE dont survive crashes very well.

(probably 2 of them go down the first turn)

D-cannons seem like good defence against incomming webway dudes. I dont know the rules for webway, but if its anything like deep strike the DE are in trouble.

Ill wait for most posts, and then decide.

The same can be said the other way, with the raiders destroying the vypers. DE dominate in combat, de can hold its own in shooting so my vote goes to the Dark Eldar.

With CTM's giving JsJ abilities I think the Vypers will probably give the Raiders a harder time than the Raiders give the Vypers.

D-Cannon not needing LoS will be death to Raiders.

An Avatar, Scorpions, 3 Heavy Flamers and lots of Shuriken jumping out of the webway ought to prove problematic to the fragile DE, plus providing a bit of combat muscle power.

    Just some thoughts.

There's only 3 Squads of Wyches, Portal units/D-Cannon/Vypers can easily deal with them and then Heavy Flamer the Wyches with Destructor. The Scorpions can take the Talos with thier Power Claw or Mind war, or StarCannon/Bright Lance.

It's more like having a mobile board edge to bring Reserves in from, but it's also to where they'll retreat to if they're broken.

First, this should be listed as Ulthwe Strike Force in the thread title, as they are entirely different lists, and it's confusing:wacko:

    I vote Dark Eldar,

Because alot of this seems to come down to the infantry, and I just can't see the USF winning, despite webway portal. Wyches will run rampant, slaughtering, and only a few guns can effectively stop the talos. The Dcannons are nice, but honestly, the speed of the raiders means that they'd be easy fodder for the dark eldar.

Generally, the Eldar are just outclassed here, IMO, though I admit, for the sake of making a short post, I made the fight seem alot more one sided than it would be.

    dark eldar

-3 wych squads and 2 talos, would run rampant through guardian hordes. and wariors are better than even black guardians in CC.

-the number and mobility of dark lances for the DE beats the inacurate vypers for the eldar.

-a larger amount of the DE's fighting strength starts on the board, allowing them to destroy the sparce eldar before mpst of their force arives.
Procrastination- hard work often pays off over time, but laziness always pays off now.
Indifference- it takes 43 muscles to frown, and 17 to smile, but none to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

    -Votewar 40k mini= 2nd place
