    Mini VW Combat Patrol - Round 2, Battle 12 - Imperial Guard versus Orks

    Please see the Combat Patrol Mini Info Thread on how to participate in these games. I want to stress to everyone that the mission means everything. He who stands the best way to score Victory Points should be the winner. All missions have the Infiltration and Victory Points special rules. All missions are played with the Combat Patrol rules set.

    What is the AV of a killa kan? 10?

    This one will be close I think. The guard have the fire power to take down a couple of killa kans a turn but the heavy shootas will rake through tge guardsmen. I think the Orks will take it.

    I dont think that a ton of Strength 6 shots would do much to the Killa Kans as they move up each turn blasting away.

    The command squads will go down first and then each squad in turn will be shot to death or run after the command squads are gone.

    No Helbrecht, kan armour is higher than that on front and sides. Those heavy bolters need 6's to hurt them at all.

    As said.. it's going to take a lot for the IG to be able to down enough Kans to make it worthwhile, and the whole time the Kans'll be shooting at 'em then assaulting. I don't think the IG have enough firepower to take all of those Kans out of the loop.

    Orks for the win.

    Same as a Rhino. Note that the Armour Plates give them a 6+ invulnerable save (of sorts...) and the Kustom Force Field grants them Obscured Status.

    Making them yet harder to kill, while already being difficult to take down, due to S6 being the highest strength weapon in the IG arsenal.

    Gah, where are your autocannons when you need them?
    i really like the guard force, i think it's beautifully balanced and well composed.

    But the orks will win the fight. There's just too much armour, the guard won't be able to take down even half before it's too late.

    Green is best.

    I'm gonna have to say Orks win this one.

    The Orks Killer Kans will be too hard for the Imperial Guard to take down. The Orks will move up, shooting away, and will eventually reach combat in which the Imperial Guard will be finished.
