    Mini VW round 2- battle 1- Imperial Guard vs Dark Eldar

    lol DE have this one in the bag. All the warrior's simply run at a board edge, plant the webway portal and all the raiders go zooming off the board without ever being shot at.

    Seven DE units. Four of which have to make it off table.

    I'm betting the Warriors can easily survive half the IGs firepower for two turns without much worry. That gives them two moves, and they plant on the third turn. That leaves only around 18 inches for the Raiders to get off board.

    The Raiders will easily accomplish that. They'll just get off board whenever they arrive.

    My question is - that's only three of the four required. Will the Warriors make it off board? I don't think they'll survive. Warp Beast pack is pretty small... I don't think they will make it, either.

    I'm leaning IG, just because the Dark Eldar have one too many units.

    I count 6 units, 4 in the portal, 2 on the start.

    Transports/IC don't count for units getting on or off the table.

    So im leaning DE.

    So, a total of 6 scoring units means that the DE just needs 3 of them to escape, right? In that case, I vote Dark Eldar for the victory, simply because the DE can zoom the three raiders off the table without even having them shot upon.

    I also vote DE for fluff... there is simply too little support to that many guardsmen IMHO.

    This is where the rules are edgy - the Blitz rules never make mention of the word "scoring" when talking about getting models off the table. Just... "units."

    Now, Transports wouldn't count since they're just part of the unit as a whole. But ICs constitute a unit all on their own. So that makes seven.

    'Reever, what say you? Do only Scoring units count towards Blitz?

    Units as in squads or characters will count for what has to get off the board not just scoring units; so HQ's do count for a unit that would/could escape and count.

    Which means squads below 50% can still go off the board. My vote still stays with the DE (albeit weaker than before).

    Back to the center. Then they'll auto-regroup, regardless of other situations.

    Dark Eldar

    With that many raiders and large block of warriors (hell even the dracite is a quick one) the IG won't kill enough quick enough.

    Seems to me this match up (with mission) makes it near impossible for DE to lose.
