    Death Company

    The DC player can infiltrate half of the scouts onto the objectives and the other half into the enemy lines to tie up guard units and heavy weapons teams. The Assault squad and Chaplain can deal with any deepstriking unit that threatens a scout held objective.

    big question, does plasma negate feel no pain? i know it doesn't instakill but it does negate armor save, not sure how that works.

    Plasma will not negate the FnP on a T4 model, which the Death Company army consists of. Ranged Armour Saves are never factored in when considering FnP rolls.

    Hope that made sense. Almost confused myself typing it.

    death company

    so basically same requirments as wbb. in that case, im going to give this one to the death company, as the normally meq killing plasma will be much lessened, and while the deepstriking will help for the mission, i dont think they have enough power to dislodge the marines.

    Death company

    Oh, this would be the funest game ever for the death company player. Nothing but mass squads to charge into, again and again and again.

    The scouts will tear through the imperial guard, at least one squad should get a first turn charge. The IG lack any close combat defence. Further more, they have very little 8S, AP3 or better. I think their where maybe 6 MLs, and 4 melta guns. Everything else gets a 4+ feel no pain save + any cover/armor.

    Mission changed for BA: kill all IG, forget the objectives.

    8 lasguns-4 hits-1.3 wounds-0.65 unsaved-0.325 past feel no pain.
    heavy bolter-1.5 hits-1 wound-0.5 past FnP
    plasma gun-about 0.2 dead right?

    So each basic guard squad will kill 1 scout. Scouts are on them turn 2. Looks like the Cheese Rangers are in trouble here. Heavy Platoons might kill a few more.

    Death Company

    Ok, so we're looking at a turn 2 assault for an assault based army against IG. This the death company dream match.

    Yeah, the plasma will hurt, as will the heavy bolters, but it's simply not enough. Even a DC squad at half strength is still going to be able to rip through the gaurd. Game over...
