    Mission: Cleanse

    Tactics: The tactics for this list are fairly straight forward. Soften up the enemy with a thunderous barrage of ordnance weapons. Then send in well placed firepower with just the right weapon using the oblits. Capture objectives with the troop squads, backed up the oblits. The Lord Infiltrates for a first turn charge, and helps take out annoying squads, like those with lots of 2 AP.

    So anyone got anything new to add to this battle? Anyone plan an taking anything from round two by chance?

    Well, I don't see anything in LordLink's rules about armies that play against each other again.

    But, considering that this would be one very boring round if they did play the same mission, I'm going to re-roll it.

    Pretty funny though, that the random mission Cal was given was take and hold; would have been even funnier if that game in VASSAL had still been going on when you did it...

    Orks

    Hmmm well Cleanse still favors the orks with there mobility and greater number of sourcing units. I can't see how Chaos can contest the orks table quarters as the only units that can get to them are the Obliterators if they deep strike or the Demon Prince if he somehow manages to avoid the orks all game. I don't think Chaos can afford to deep strike the Obliterators as they can't lose all that firepower for a few turns as it will leave the rest of the chaos army hung out to dry.

    Orkz

    Speed negates the indirect fire, rokkits hurt the tanks\artillary (if we're using the same standard as was applied to the game against the tanks the orkz will wipe those 3 out in 2 turns max) Choppas negate oblitz, as does the fact that the oblitz can only drop 3 trukkz a turn (max) and then have to deal with all the boyz that are left.

    This was not the list the IW wanted to go up against, it's too fast to be shot to hell, and the orkz can hide in their trukkz (at least on turn 2-3) to limit the oblitz before doing their crazy 20 something inch charge.
