The veterans among you may remember my guide to calculating scatter risks back in fourth edition. I now present the guide revised for 5th edition complete with a short quick guide that anyone can use in virtually no time and regardless of math skills.
You can access and download the tactica here.
I hope my English is good enough to be understood and that there aren't too many typos and mistakes. I haven't yet had the nerve to read through it again for correction purposes as I just spent practically all day writing it.
Maybe some of you will have some use for my work. I am very interested in your feedback.
I forgot to mention something very useful in my tactica as I usually only deep-strike shooty units whose whole purpose it is to lay waste on the turn they arrive.
But sometimes you may want or need to deep-strike assault terminators or other units without a(n effective) shooting attack. Remember to run in the shooting phase with those! It will help you cover distance to the target added by invulontary scatter and most importantly will allow you to spread out your models, so that template and blast weapons will not be as devastating as against units in deep-striking formation.
