The campaign is faction based so find out who your faction opponents will be in your area. There will be no faction in fighting so if everybody is playing Necrons where you are at you need to hunt down some other opponents to play.

These are the 10 factions we have organized the campaign into.

1 CHAOS = Chaos Space marines
2 CHOAS Auxilla = Chaos demons and Traitor guard
3 IG = Imperial Guard including: Inquisition = Witch hunters and Grey Knights
4 Tyranids
5 Eldar = Eldar
6 Dark Eldar = Dark Eldar
7 Tau = Tau
8 Space marines = Space Marines
9 Necrons = Necrons
10 Orkz = Orkz

So get together and start thinking of who you want as commander which may be a good idea to have soon after we reveal the full campaign on the 10:th.

+++SUBJECT: AURORA SYSTEM OPERATIONS REPORT.+++

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: STEP NOT FROM THE PATH OF THE EMPEROR.

As requested General I present to you a brief report on the status of a number of territories that are of some concern for the war effort in the Aurora system.

[1] AKOS PRIME POPULATION 220 MILLION-AKOS.
Akos Prime is the principal financial and trading hub of the Aurora system arguably the Gannos sub sector. As a result of its wealth and comparatively large population size we projected Akos Prime to produce at least three fully operational regiments within the first three months of the campaign. However recent events have made these initial projections obsolete.
Reports both form Adeptus Arbites officials and also from my own personal field agents would indicate that there is widespread discontent with recidivist possibly outright heretical elements controlling significant portions of the city.
Given that Akos Prime contains the largest space port on Aurora Prime as well as its importance in returning Aurora Prime to a state of lasting stability as a major trade point in the Zeist sector I would advise making Akos Prime a priority concern and would dedicate at least 1-3 regiment to this area to restore the city completely to the Imperial fold.

[2] TOURNMAL POPULATION 42 MILLION [GOLVIDIS HEIGHTS]-AKOS.

Tournmal is the nerve centre of any defence of the Golvidis Heights region. At present it is believed to be the location of Lord Marshall Tyson of the Imperial High Command. However 48 hours ago all contact with Tournmal was lost. This corresponded with the Adeptus Astartes drop landing in the area. While the involvement of the Imperial Space Marines is of course greatly welcomed it is frustrating that all attempts to initiate dialogue with the Astartes has been all but rebuffed.
Quite apart from the fate of the Lord Marshall, there were at least two full regiments stationed in Tournmal including the Krieg 712th

I can only counsel sending a reconnaissance team into the mountains to re-establish contact. The 3rd ranger platoon of the Cadian 428th would be ideal.


[3] AKOS EAST COAST

The East Coast of Akos is of high priority if any war on Aurora Prime is to be prosecuted to a successful conclusion.
The reasons are three fold.
1) Wrexmaul, a major urban area is located on the East Coast. It has a regimental range of between 1-2 regiments in three month. It also contains a space port.
2) Control of the East Coast is vital if we are to be sure that any naval attack by the rebel forces on Carag does not sweep into Akos.
3) The East Coast contains numourous fuel refineries and water processing plants essential for the logistical needs of the Imperial Guard to be met.

The East Coast is far too large a region to be adequately held by our present regiments. I have arranged for Lord Nymthorn Drike of the Aurora Combine to liaise with private security forces to ensure Imperial control of the region is secure.

There have been persistent rumours of hertical groups and saboteurs on the East Coast and I must stress that the raising of new Aurora regiments is of vital importance.

It would take between 10-16 regiments to completely ensure the compliance of the Akos East Coast.


[4] CATHEDRAL OF THE BLESSED FLAME-HYTHUN PRIME-CARAG

By now the unfortunate news of the Hythun Dynasty’s treachery and rebellion on Carag will have reached you. However there is some good news. Recent reports indicate that Imperial resistance is at present holding out. The Cathedral of the Blessed Flame and its surrounding area is the site of a continuing battle between the Sisters of the Blessed Flame and rebel forces.

In addition to the Adeptus Sororitas present I have confirmed reports that the numerous pilgrims visiting the Cathedral have taken up arms against the heretics. This ad hoc formation numbers in the thousands at least. Elements of the Ordo Hereticus have also been sighted.

The Cathedral was the seat of Cardinal Tutaka Mazola. He has not been seen for the last four days. We must pray for his safe return or recovery. As well as being a loyal servant to the Emperor his presence would be a great boost to morale.

At present faith in the strength of the Emperor's servants is our only recourse. Any assault on Hythun Prime or Carag generally would be unviable given present military strength.

[5] AURORA SYSTEM SHIPPING LANES

Although not in the initial remit of this report I would like to draw your attention to the position of the Shipping Lanes of and from the Aurora System.

The Aurora System is at present the centre of trade and supply in the Gannos sub-sector. From a wider strategic perspective it is essential that this remains the case. At present due to Eldar attacks out naval strength is limited. I would humbly submit therefore that any request to the Departmento Munitorium for a commitment of troops will need to take this into account.

However it must also be noted that the reinforcement of additional systems surrounding Aurora might be an initial priority to contain the threat of the conflict spreading.

I have one friend from my group who is on LO (micah), but we have 'Ard Boyz coming up, and the following month ahead is our local group Campaign.

I'll see if anyone else here will sign up for LO so we can incorporate our campaign matches into this campaign...

There will be a system set up for playing against non-LO members, but we do reward LOser vs. LOser reports a bit more than LOser vs. anonymous. You'll still be able to participate even if you don't get the chance to play many LOsers!

Well, I keep facing off against the only other player whose got enough units to play with me. And he's a SM player... but not a member of LO.
