Hi, I was just looking for a bit of clarification on the Tau Pulse Rifles that Fire Warriors use.
They have a total range of 30" - being Rapid Fire weapons I understand that they have the potential to shoot twice. However, some people say twice at half-range, and others twice at 12" (which is less than half-range of 15").
As you can imagine, I'd like the bigger range, but can anyone please clarify which I'm supposed to go with (and if possible, where it tells you)?
If you look at the quick reference sheet in the rule book as well as the shooting section, it saysThe half range comes from the fact that many guns such as bolter and lasguns have a 24" range.can shoot twice at targets up to 12" away

Also, the Tau FAQ stickied in the Tau forum also clarifies this question for you:
Hope that helps.
