This might be a easy question to answer but I'm quite confused...
What single models can hold table quarters?
Independant characters can't right?
What about monstrous creatures? And what if they get wounded?
Greater Deamon (new Chaos codex)?
Obliterators? They are vehicles right? What if they get wounded?
Thanks for any help clearing this up.
Anything with multiple wounds must be brought below half wounds to stop being scoring (including the greater daemon).
Independent Characters never count as scoring units.
Only scoring units can hold objectives.
Units of multi-wound models (like crisis suits or oblitz) I can't quite remember but I think they have to go below half models not wounds to stop scoring.
EDIT: Obliterators in no way follow the rules for vehicles.
Any non-vehicle, non-IC unit counts as "Non-vehicle unit" on the VP Table on page 85 of 4thEd rules. There's a very important note at the bottom of the table: " If any non-vehicle units include multi-Wound models,..." Basically, whether you have a single model-unit with multiple wounds, a unit of multiple wound models or a unit of one multiwounder and the rest singlewounders, you always do as that note tells you.
Barring the multiwounder being an IC, of course. =)
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
single model (non vehicle) scoring untis I can think of:
single retinue models (yes, the IC is non scoring, but the retinue is a scoring unit=)
some tau suits
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
I think the Greater Daemon, Talos and Biovore are all scoring units too.
As usual my foray into the rules forum leads me to making a complete idiot of myself.
Assassins do not count as scoring.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
yeap, talos from the webway.... a great scoring unit that one! hard to kill, and only 3 turns to do it in!
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
Don't forget the master of the Ravenwing on his jetbike! - Not an independant character.
Haven't decided if this is a good thing or not, yet.
"Pickles, the drummer, doodily doo. (Ding-dong, doodily, doodily, doo.)"
Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
Just a minor note, don't forget that Vehicles and dedicated transports are different when it comes to scoring. Also, don't forget those silly rules that stop vehicles from scoring
So to summarize this in chaos point of view.
Single models that count as scoring:
Greater Deamons yes
Deamon Princes yes
