So I went looking around for about 8-9 pages, did a search, and still had nothing to answer my question of whether or not my catachan pattern sentinel, when deep striking, can charge (pretty sure it can't move).
I'm sure there's an obvious explanation, but it's lost to me.
Thanks in advanced for your help.
Like drop-podding dreadnoughts, assault teams, terminators, raptors, assault marines, and basically everything short of old codex daemons...
No, the sentinel cannot charge, more or assault after deep striking. Scout or no.
Thanks, I wasn't a 100%, so I wanted to check.... oh well, time to cross my fingers and hope the tau don't see it a *too* much of a threat
From a marine player's standpoint...
I worry more about those damn sentinels then the bigger tanks (one guy I know runs something two or three squadrons of lascannon sentinels...my poor, paranoid vindicators...). If your entire force is deep striking, they'll be ok, but if its just them, I'd rethink it a bit.
Course deep striking lets you drop them, pop off lascannons, autocannons and other assorted unhappiness beams, even if you can't move or assault with them.
Its a catachan pattern (h. flamer) with Hardened Fighter.... so melee based since i will be up against tau and guard conscripts. As for he rest of my army, outside of my grenadiers I'll be deep striking all the rest (including a 'suprise', since nobody here plays DH but me and I'm using a viable proxy for a deamonhost)
