These are questions about the Thousand Sons that I cannot find the answers to in the Codex. So please don`t tell me to look there.
And forgive all the NooB questions. I can tell when I`m asking one.
I recently got my first box of K.Sons troops. Whats the deal with all the arm pads and different designs of gun? Do they mean anything to which mark/weapon the model has or are they just for looks? I`m asking this beacause I don`t actually know how to mark a model with its respective god.
Every pair of arms in the box is identical Why? Aren`t there supposed to be a few different designs?
Am I allowed to have Terminators (not buying upgrades the real ones) in my Thousand Sons army? Many people have told me they can`t be used but in the Codex it says the 'Chosen=Yes' for Tzeentch.
Are my troops, when they`ve been upgraded to with Terminator Armour, allowed weapons other than a Boltgun? This I reckon is in the book but the paragraph is confusing.
What am I supposed to use to represent a Thrall Wizard? Is it a model I can buy, an upgrade to be given to a regular trooper or something else?
The Thousand sons models have Shoulder Pads with Tzeentch's symbol, that can qualify as the MoT.
The arms are all the same pose, but with variations in designs and whatnot. Besides, TSons don't need variation, they're an army of mindless automatons!
You an have Terminators, either Chosen w/ Terminator Armor, or Thousand Sons Terminators, re-read the Book of Tzeentch and the Chosen entry.
You'll have to check their unit descriptions for weapons options.
A Thrall Wizard can be pretty much anything. A Daemonhunters Sage, Cherubim, etc, or pretty much any models you can think up.
Excellent. thanks for your help. Just one thing though. There aren`t enough shoulder pads to go round. Only 6 in the box and I would need eight. And thats if any of the three designs in metal count as the mark. How do I give all of them the mark of T? Do I need to buy individual pads?
Infact, how do I mark the Sorcerer? He can`t be given a pad and the ones that are already there are blank.
You can use the transfers, or try to paint the MoT on their shoulders.
And, anyway, it is understood that TSon models are Thousand sons, and have the MoT.
ditto, the MoT does not have to be on the model. Although its pretty cool if you can have them on all of the models.
