In assault phase, if for example you have a exarch whos initiative is 6 and DA whos initiative is 5 who are in a squad fighting space marines lets say, Would the exarch attack first then space marines and then DA. If not what do you do?
If both sides score the same wounds (i've never had it happen) but I think then they fight for another turn.
Children of Isha
Actually I was wondering about that last night during a game, cos I got confused and thought you added up the wounds of each side, then removed casualties BEFORE you determined the winner.
But I see that works out better because what good is initiative if you don't get to kill models with it.
The model with I6 would go first. They attack, wound, the enemy rolls for saves, any failed saves get taken off as casualties.
Then the models with I5 attack, wound, the enemy rolls for saves, any failed saves taken off as casualties.
Then the remaining I4 models attack, wound, etc.
Then you determine who won the combat by (I believe) how many wounds (casualties) each side inflicted. Voila.
See, I knew how it worked, I just forgot it last night, and as a result, actually forgot to take casualties out of the combat after wounds were drawn, so the same models actually got two lives.
I was annihilated though damn orks.
