I have yet to purchase the Daemon Hunters codex (they must be about to make a new one right?) but i was looking at the Official Approved Army Lists at the games workshop site: http://gt.us.games-workshop.com/Rules/40k_lists.htm
and it said that Forces of the Inquisition could take Space Marines and Imperial Guard. So does this mean that I could take like a squad of Daemon hunters and a squad of guardsmen and some terminators???
There are various requirements for including DH/GK in different Imperium armies. The rules can be found inside the Daemonhunter Codex, I want to say it's in the 20's range for the page, but I could be way off there.
"If you can wait til I get home, then I swear we can make this last."
I wouldn't recommend holding your breath for a new inquisitorial Codex... From the looks of it 40K will be in 5th edition before the Ordos get a new Codex. Thus if you want to play Hereticus or Malleus, get the current Codex as there's plenty of time to use it before it gets redone. =)
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
- alliances can work both ways : a small DH force in a main SM or IG army, or a SM / IG complement to a DH main army;
- 3-way alliances are not allowed, IIRC.
Just go and get this codex... DH (and WH) are fun !
Children of Isha
thanks guys, i'll probably buy it this weekend
If IG are allied, Space Marines can't be.
If Space marines are allied, IG can't be.
If you're using a Witch Hunter's army with SoBs, you can't get marines.
If you're using a Space Marine army, you can get SoB.
If you're using a Daemonhunter's army with GKs, you can't get marines.
If you're using a Space Marine army, you can get GK.
If you're using a IG, you can get just about anything.
And any Imperial force can take a Deathwatch kill team as a HQ slot (for those who want a space marine librarian and assault (as opposed to heavy) type heavy bolters in their IG army).
