This might be a noob question but for Imperial guard when you choose the carapace armor special equpiment do you have to show that your men actually have carapace armor. For instance do they need to literally have it on them or can i say they just have it.
TY for all your help.
I certainly have no problem with it. Most people use Cadian models now and if you say before the game that they have carapace armour, then no problems.
If you have a mix, then it can get confusing, so your better of having and all or none approach.
Another alternative is to use catachans as "normal" flak armour guardsmen and cadians as the carapace armour guardsmen.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
If we are refering to the commanders etc carapace then use some green stuff to put more padding.
Or else there can't be any issue with the rest of the army. The codex is clear. Either ALL get carapace or NONE. No middle ground.
it depends where you play and how strictly they adhere to WYSIWYG, in most places you will be fine without modeling but serious competative games you would hit issues
Everything you have been told is a lie!
wow guys thanks i was pretty frustrated because i thought i would have to buy 50 buckz of greenstuff then pad it on all my men
