i have a very old edition of the warhammer 40k rules book which doesnt explain how specifically i can use the grenades or melta bombs i have equiped, i know what frag grenades do.
i know from the book that if i vehicle or walkers tries to assault or tank shock me i can hold my ground and throw a grenade before getting squished if i dont manage to kill it.
also can i throw meltabombs at non vehicles and which pahse do i throw them and can i fire a weapon also?
You're going to have to check a rulebook for the specifics, but the gist of it is as follows:
All can be used as weapons against vehicles, either as part of a death or glory or as part of an assault against said vehicle. You get one attack per model with grenades, with strength/special rules specific to the grenade.
Some can also be used during assaults against other units to give unit initiative bonuses, reduce the enemy's charge bonus, that sort of thing.
None can be used as weapons against non-vehicles.
Put the box on the table by the window in the kitchen.
Not true=) Most all grenades may be used against non-vehicles. Melta's are the only thing (grenade type) that can't exclusively be used against non V's, while Krak USUALLY can't (see codex space marine for an example of how krak CAN be used vs non vehicles). But everything else said is smack on=)
