I was looking through the ArmyBuilder program and came across a unit for space marine armies called a Death Watch Kill team. It's not in the codex, so i was curious what this unit is. What is the fluff for them and what are, or where can i find, the rules for using them?
I think they're in chapter approved 2003
Deathwatch rules are in Chapter Approved 2003, pages 74-75.
The third Ordo Codex, Ordo Xenos, will have new rules for Deathwatch. After all, Deathwatch is the chamber militant of Ordo Xenos...
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
They're particularly fervent veteran marines from all the chapters. So a squad might have one member from the ultramarines, another from dark angels, etc. Very cool.

Deathwatch is as mentioned the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Xenos (Alien Hunters) of the Holy Inquisition.
Each Chapter Astartes has the obligation to present to the Ordo Xenos a certain number of brother for indiscriminate length of time. The Chapter is also mandated to provide for any and all armour and weapons required for ther marine to perform his duty. Any Chapter which provides a less than adequate member will be disgraced under the eyes of the Inquisition and the Emperor.
The time each marine has to spend at the Xenos team depends on the mission required for them to achieve, only once that target is achieve can a marine go back in honour to his chapter.
Deathwatch Marines will re paint their armour black with the exception of their right shoulder pad which is kept with the Chapter's original colour and marking.
You can buy from GW 2 set to transfor your marines into Deatwatch (got 10 myself). These sets (small metal sprues) include heads, bolters with range finders and deathwatch shoulder pads.
