My apologies if this is not the correct place to put this – yes, I am a noob!
My son recently started a DA army and got the new codex. In reviewing the codex it appears that any character (Azrael, Sammael, etc.) can be taken in any army list. I have looked over the codex but cannot see a points requirement for taking these characters. For example, on pg. 52 of the SM codex, it states that Marneus Calgar may be used in Ultramarines armies of at least 1,500 points. I can find no such correlation in the DA codex for their characters. Is this correct? He can take Azrael in a 500 point battle?
Thanks in advance for any clarification… I have checked the forums and not found a thread that addresses this, perhaps I looked in the wrong place?
Unless it states that the army must be X points for the character to be used, then you can of course use it in any points level. Most of those characters cost a reasonably high amount of points, so you're taking a bit of a risk taking them at lower points games, but it's perfectly legal.
Yhea its fine to take them i low point games. I think their doing away with the 'can only be taken in an army of x points' if im not mistaken. The old eldar dex had point limits on chars but the new dex didnt (tho taking eldrad in a 500pt game would be suicide!).
