How does true grit work in 5th?
I don't know how its worded in teh demon hunter dex but in the SM dex it only says they count as having a close combat weapon. With no rules for true grit in 5th, what are Grey Knights to do?
Pretty soon teh SM dex is going to be updated so this is about to be a mute point for me, but if I ever want to take grey knight allies I will run into this problem again.
Any thoughts on this?
Grey Knights just use the rule as it's written out in full in their Codex. Trait marines are really the only ones with a problem, but I imagine GW is willing to say 'You guys can manage to be reasonable about this one for the whooping 2 months until the new book is out'.
At the very start of the USR section in the rulebook, it tells us that the rules in the BRB are superceded by those in the Codex if the Codex version is different. Note that as well as True Grit, ATSKNF is also not in the USRs, so that too has to go by the rules in the relevant Codex.
True Grit therefore goes by the rules in the Codex in which it appears, since it no longer has a USR mention.
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
Not in Codex Space Marines.
You'll just have to use common sense and the 4th Edition rules, or not use those rules at all.
