5th Edition and Combat Patrol, Scenario Changes?

I recently played a combat Patrol Tournament under 5th Edition rules and it was only after I got back that I started wondering 'Should we have rolled for the new scenarios (spearhead/pitched battle/dawn of war) or should we have used the ones that were previously set for patrol battles (recon/cleanse/patrol)?' It doesn't matter as much as far as Spearhead is concerned, Pitched Battle works pretty well too, but Dawn of War is a terrible scenario for combat control that can and did scupper battles to the point of being ridiculous. On such a small scale putting units in reserve makes NO SENSE. So in light of that I'm asking for other people's views on the matter, when playing patrol, which scenario rules should apply?

Since combat patrol has ceased to exist in the current rules, it is up to the players.

There is no 'right' answer with something like this. You have to go with what you think works best.

Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.
