In the case of guard weapon teams are loaders considered seperate from normal guardsmen for complex unit rules?
So, in a standard unit, wounds are allocated to special weapon, heavy weapon, troops and loaders, or... special weapon, heavy weapon and troops, with the loader still acting as a second life for the heavy?

Just wanted to let you know that the IG faq covers this. Even if the gunner is killed you still remove the loader and can keep firing . Hope this helps.
Now if i can just figure out a way to kill thousand sons......
IG should be like, the ultimate bane of thousand sons. None of the special powers for which they pay their absurd points cost do much against guard gunlines. They're like double price marines who walk real slow when fighting IG. They could be a problem if you're over reliant on Ordnance for doing your killing, but that's probably a broader issue that affects you against more enemies than just 1,000 Sons.
