Hey all, so I remember how in 4th edition it was generally accepted Termies coulden't perform a sweeping advance, or any of those other terminator movement rules that made them slow. My question is do these rules still exist in 5th edition? Where would I find them? Are they in the new rule book?
If they are in the spacemarine 'dex thats best case scenario for me, because I play Daemonhunters, and there is no such rule in my codex.
Just had a look through P.64 and P.136 Codex SM; Terminators can indeed now perform a Sweeping Advance as per the BRB on P.40, since their codex entry does not disallow them.
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
That is a cool development. I am afraid to look at my Black Templar codex to see if the wording is different. So afraid since the specific wording bit my bum when it comes to "who-can-ride-the-transport". It wouldnt suprise me to see BT termies unable to sweepingadvance, but Ill check it when I get home from work.
Yeah I'm pretty sure they cant sweeping advance. However, I'm not a SM player, I play chaos marines and in my codex (in the wargear section mind you) they can not sweeping advance.
As the guys have mentioned; termies cannot sweeping advance. It can be a tricky one to find.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
