Can Melta Bombs be used against monstrous creatures much in the same way as they are used against dreadnoughts? Needing a six to hit and then compare the strength 8 of a melta bomb to the toughness of the creature. The next step would be,"does the creature get a save against an AP 1 melta weapon?
Nope, grenades can only be used as a weapon against vehicles. Also, grenades have no AP value.

Are you sure?
grenades can be used on more then walkers, but melta bombs onlt get their effect against vehicles
Melta bombs can only be used against vehicles. So the question of would the MC get a save wouldnt come up.
But in the shooting phase you would only get an Invunerable or cover save from an AP1 melta weapon as it beats all armour. (or if your an Avatar-they have some special rule that protects them against Melta/Flamersas far as I remember)
