    help with close combat

    ok so my chapter commander has a power fist and stormbolter how do i roll for those weopons together or seperate? also is it a poor choice in weponry for him? he also has a jump pack. besides that if neone has suggestions for weopons please tell : D

    You shoot the storm bolter in the shooting phase, and only use the Power Fist in close combat.

    It depends on what you want to do.
    A power fist or a thunder hammer is not going to get the +1A unless you buy two of them, so the stormbolter is a decent low cost choice with reasonable shooting. You're getting a 4++ save anyway so I'm not sure about the utility of spending all those points on adding +1 to that.
    The Jump pack is nice for a close combat equipped character, it gets him where he wants to be quickly.
    I'd give him a Relic Blade instead though +2S and retains the I value of the character instead of going at I1 and put him in with an assault squad where the sgt has a Pfist.
