How many weapons can a gargantuan creature of lumbering speed fire per turn? I imagine as many as it has, since warmachines have the same option and there seem to be no rules against it.

--- As many as the Lumbering rules allow it to fire...

    CA2004, page 80, left-hand column, "Lumbering".
    WD 255UK, page 46, left-hand column, "Lumbering".

--- Huh? The second book of the Astonomican, ie. the second CA, is CA2002 (also being the first CA for 3rdEd WH40K).

It should include the full CDR rules, including the clarifications.

Just check where they tell of the different movement options, Lumbering should be right there...

And since CA2002 came out after the WD rules, I'm most certain that the rules appear in the CA2002 version of CDR... After all, they were the same in the original WD article.

The movement type options are on the third page of the article.

First page is Chapter Approved title, second page has the picture of Sherman Bishop's scratch-built Trygon, third page contains the descriptions of movement type options in the following order:

    Fast
    Agile
    Winged
    Lumbering
    Flyer

Considering the layout of the CA articles to be identical (which is the case as far as I've seen), the CA2002 layout should be the same as well and thus You should be able to find the information You need in the rules description of "Lumbering".

I guess that is the one I have, and I re-read it, so I think my plan to have a lumbering cdr monster with 4 venom cannons is just fine against his stupid stupid titan.

Also, what's the deal with being in close combat against a vehicle? If genestealers are attacking, say, the side of a leman russ, they can still be shot at, right? Can the leman russ they're attacking shoot at them? How do they break out of close combat with it?

Also, check out my new avatar... it's my dog! I just got a digicam!

--- Yes, the 'Stealers can be shot at, and yes, the Russ under attack can shoot at them with any weapons it can get to bear... Which is all of them, since it can turn and shoot the 'Stealers next to it.

How do they break out of close combat with it?
--- Either the Russ moves away or the 'Stealers move away. They are not locked in combat.

See the Rulebook Clarifications in CA2004, pages86-89.

Alternatively, the same information is found online in the Rulebook Clarifications FAQ, available at Chapter Approved.
