I heard in a post that the Tyranid Venom Cannon cant even glance tanks anymore, did a new rulebook and tyranid codex release and I not get the memo? If this is true nids are certainly screwed as far as tank hunting goes. If not, I curse the post I saw it in to the lowest depths of hell for freaking me out.
So far as I know they can still glance fine, but not penetrate unless the vehicle is open topped. However, I am quite sure no new tyranid dex has been released.

venom cannons can only glance and never penetrate. but tyranids do have a tough time taking out tanks nowadays. have fun taking out my two land raiders.

That's what Warp Blast is for, well that and CC Fexes/Tyrants.
Glancing smancing. Forget about VC's and just get 2-3 ninjafexes. That's how I destroyed the Monolith I went up against.

Tyranids really need to get into CC to be effective against tanks. But get there, and the tank's buuuusted. Except 'liths. Those suckers can take a LOT of punishement. Only rolling 1D6 to penetrate with a MC, and needing a 5 or 6 to end it, means you need a few lucky rolls. No number of glancing hits will take care of those.
